The Research On China-kazakhstan Anti-terrorism Cooperation Under Shanghai Cooperation Organization

The purpose of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization(SCO)is to protect regional security in the view of the rampant terrorist activities in Central Asian countries and China.The main target and content of SCO is the “Three Forces”.At the beginning of the new century,in June 2001,the Shanghai cooperation organization was established,which is also the origin of cooperation between China and Kazakhstan.The Shanghai cooperation organization has made cooperation between Kazakhstan and China as an important part of their diplomatic strategy within a legal,reasonable and rule-based framework.Kazakhstan is a big country in Central Asia with special geographical position,which is at the intersection of Asia and Europe.It is also one of the regions contested by the world powers since ancient times.In recent years,under the influence of Islamic fundamentalist terrorist forces,domestic terrorist activities caused a great threat to the state and people.Therefore,Kazakhstan is also eager to expand its diplomatic space and create a good international environment to achieve the stable development of the country's military and economy.China is the largest developing country in the world.At present,China's political stability,rapid economic development,economic and trade volume are in the second place in the world.But developing China still faces important problems: religious extremism,ethnic separatism and violent terror in Xinjiang region.This is closely linked to Kazakhstan.Based on the new security concept,which is the theoretical basis of SCO's anti-terrorism security cooperation,this paper is about the current situation of China's anti-terrorism cooperation with Kazakhstan under Shanghai cooperation organization and the factors influencing China's and Kazakhstan's anti-terrorism cooperation,and puts forward some thoughts on China's and Kazakhstan's anti-terrorism cooperation under SCO.
