Subjective Class Identification And Public Service Satisfaction Of Urban Residents

The report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China stated that it is necessary to improve the public service system,guarantee the basic livelihood of the people,and constantly meet the growing needs of the people for a better life.However,as a whole,the level of public service satisfaction of urban residents in China is not high,and there are differences in class.The objective class has a certain relationship with the subjective class.However,compared with the objective class,the subjective class identification is more directly related to the social attitude,while the unbalanced and insufficient development of the public service leads to the class identity difference of public service satisfaction.Therefore,social governance should pay more attention to the consideration of social mentality.And what is the difference in public service satisfaction evaluation between different levels of identity groups?In particular,how do urban residents with low-level recognition have an attitude toward public service satisfaction? It has certain practical significance for social governance and management.Using the CGSS2015 survey data,the study shows that:(1)The subjective class identification of urban residents shows different distribution states in terms of static and dynamic.The subjective class identification of 10 years ago and the current subjective class identification are dominated by middle-lower and middle stratum.In thenext 10 years,it is expected to be dominated by the middle and upper middle stratum.Urban residents are mainly aware of upward mobility,and the confidence of class mobility is strong.At the same time,the differences in subjective class identification among different groups are significant,especially the current subjective class identification is still affected by objective factors.(2)The overall evaluation of urban residents' satisfaction with public service content is not high,and the evaluation of public service acquisition is at a medium-to-high level.The public service content satisfaction factor and the public service acquisition satisfaction factor are extracted by factor analysis.Based on this,the overall satisfaction score of public service is calculated.(3)In terms of the relationship between urban residents' subjective class identification and public service satisfaction,the current subjective class identification and public service satisfaction(satisfaction of the public service content;satisfaction of public service acquisition;Overall satisfaction of public services)have a significant positive relationship.In the changeable of subjective class identification,only the rise of subjective class identification and the satisfaction of public service acquisition are significantly positive.Other variables related to changeable of subjective class identification are not related to public service satisfaction.At the same time,the influence of subjective classidentification on public service satisfaction is different among different groups.Based on the subjective class identification of urban residents and the relationship between subjective class identification and public service satisfaction,the study proposed that the level of public service satisfaction should be improved from the aspects of rational allocation of public service resources,improvement of public service quality,and attention to different inter-group public service needs.It is expected to provide academic basis and policy reference for the government's policy formulation in the investigation of social governance,especially for social mentality.
