Marx was one of the earliest philosophers to reflect on the urban-rural relationship in the process of modernization.Marx believes that the separation of urban and rural areas has a certain historical rationality in a certain period, and can promote the development of social productive forces through the concentration of production materials and labor.Marx not only analyzed the causes and harms of urban-rural confrontation, but also proposed a vision and path for urban-rural integration, pointing out that "combining agriculture and industry will promote the gradual elimination of urban-rural opposition".Although the object of Marx's reflection is capitalism, due to the weak foundation of most socialist countries, the problem of unbalanced urban-rural development will also occur in the process of promoting modernization.Marx's theory of urban-rural integration still has important implications for these countries.Since the reform and opening up,socialist construction with Chinese characteristics has achieved world-renowned achievements, but the gap between urban and rural development has also become wider. The "siphon effect" of cities on rural areas has become increasingly apparent. The double dilemma of overcrowding and rural barrenness.General Secretary Xi Jinping has repeatedly emphasized that without a well-off society in the countryside, there will not be a well-off society. The report of the Nineteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China puts forward the strategy of revitalizing the countryside, which is to take full advantage of each other and promote the coordinated development of urban and rural areas. To study Marx's theory of urban-rural integration is to fully tap theoretical innovation resources and give full play to the institutional advantages of socialism with Chinese characteristics in promoting urban-rural integration. The thesis is divided into three parts: introduction, text and conclusion.Theintroduction will mainly introduce the reasons for selection, the relevant research results of scholars at home and abroad, and the main methods and innovations to be used in thesis research and writing. The text is divided into five parts, from chapter two to chapter six.The second chapter,"Background Analysis of Marx's Urban-Rural Integration Theory",mainly discusses the era background and ideological background of Marx's urban-rural integration theory.Chapter Three,"The Main Contents of Marx's Urban-Rural Integration Theory," mainly explains the consequences and roots of Marx's urban-rural confrontation in a capitalist society, and Marx's vision and plan for eliminating the urban-rural opposition in the future society. The fourth chapter is "the important characteristics of Marx's theory of urban-rural integration".It mainly studies the characteristics of Marx's theory of urban-rural integration from three dimensions: standpoint, viewpoint and method.Chapter V,"Inheritance and Development of Marx's Urban-Rural Integration Theory," mainly analyzes the inheritance and development of Marxist urban-rural integration at home and abroad, and other scholars' reference and absorption of Marx's urban-rural integration theory. The sixth chapter "Contemporary Enlightenment of Marx's Urban-Rural Integration Theory" mainly discusses the inspiration of Marx's theory of urban-rural integration to the basic premise, value orientation and key breakthroughs of promoting socialist urban-rural integration with Chinese characteristics. In the concluding section, the article's writing process and research results are summarized, and the research space that stimulates theoretical interest and expansion of the paper is prospected. The article argues that adherence to the road of socialist urbanization with Chinese characteristics is guided by Xi Jinping's thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era,and the organic integration of Marxist principles of urban and rural development with the actual development of urban and rural China. This article mainly researches Marx's related theories, and in the future the author will also use this as a basis to explore Engels and other Marxists' theory of urban-rural integration.
