“School-Family-Community”Trinity Model Of Pupils Reading Promotion

In recent years the pupils reading promotion has been more and more valued by government,school,family and society,many related researches have been published.But most of these researches have limitations for only focus on one aspect of libraries,families,or schools.To supplement the systematic theories of pupils reading promotion,and promote pupils reading better,in this study,an effective and feasible'school-family-community' trinity model of pupils reading promotion is constructed which can realize the organic combination of school.family and community,by surveying pupils,parents,community librarians,and primary school teachers in Lixia district of Jinan,observing and summarizing many activities of pupils reading promotion,and combining pedagogy,reading theory,psychology and sociology and other disciplines.This study includes four main phases.Stage I:summary and analysis.In this stage the background,purposes,implications and innovations of the study are summarized and analyzed,research procedure is designed.Stage II:review and comment of literature and theories at home and abroad.In this stage,the main forms,subject and existing problems of current reading promotion are found by collecting and analyzing literatures and theories at home and abroad.By integrating the related theories of different disciplines,the intersections of different subjects are found and the solid knowledge hierarchy is constructed.Stage III:empirical research.The current situation and requirements of pupils reading,and the situation of attending promotion activities are explored to find the problems and propose solutions by questionnaire and in-depth interview.In this study,200 questionnaires were sent out,and 192 were recollected,also reliability and validity of these questionnaires are tested.The promotion activities information of community libraries is organized and analyzed in order to be as the theoretical basis of the promotion model.Stage IV:Construction and demonstration of the pupils reading promotion model.In the stage,the model is constructed,and verified by interviewing the related persons and experts.A 'school-family-community' promotion activity is held to refine the model and prove the feasibility.Finally the countermeasure and suggestion of pupils reading promotion are developed.
