Consumption is one of the "troika" of economic development in our country, the consumption structure are the specific proportion of consumer spending, the change of consumption structure can clearly reflect consumer preferences and consumption level in our country, and to further promote economic structure transformation. The affecting factor on the changes of consumption structure has many, many existing studies have shown that the change of population structure is one of the important factors, especially in our country has experienced different population policy of such a populous country, regardless of the new population policy of our country in the future how strong the impact of changes in the population,China's population structure in the following decades would have been great changes of,and a certain influence on the consumption structure. This article embarks from the perspective of population structure, and the only municipality directly under the central government in the western China, and the strategy of "two belts" of the node of chongqing city as the research object, analyzing the specific impact on the consumption structure, population structure based on the current situation analysis and empirical research, has more areas targeted countermeasures and Suggestions are put forward. In this paper,on the basis of literature research, the natural population structure, social structure and regional structure in chongqing three aspects of 8 categories, residents'consumption structure analysis of the status quo,and from two aspects:macroscopic and microscopic research of chongqing population structure multiple variables influence on consumption structure.Macro level, using macro statistical data from 1997 to 2016 in chongqing, the partial least squares analysis population growth rate, elderly dependency ratio, children's dependency ratio, level of education, the influence of the urbanization rate of the consumption structure;Micro level, rural residents in chongqing group as the research object,USES the questionnaire survey,to the different age structure, income levels, such as differences in individual questionnaire, collect the consumption situation of consumer groups,by constructing econometric model reveals a more subtle level structure for the individual consumer population structure and the influence of household consumption structure. On the content of the study,it covers population structure and consumption structure, and analyzes the influence of population structure on consumption structure more comprehensively.Research data, will into empirical research on the macro and micro data, effectively avoid the macro data cannot identify personal consumption characteristics, microscopic endogenous potential problems of the defect, enhance the scientific empirical analysis. The empirical results show that the overall effect of aging population on consumption structure is more significant than that of children.Whether urban or rural residents, the increase in income will increase their various consumption expenditures to varying degrees. The increase of education degree and urbanization level has significant impact on the transformation and upgrading of consumption structure;Family size has no significant impact on consumer demand.Based on the research, the author proposes four strategies to optimize the consumption structure of chongqing residents:to develop the old-age pension and health care industry;Increase infrastructure and education and medical input in rural areas;Vigorously develop leisure and entertainment and fashion industry; We will improve the per capita income of residents and actively optimize the supply side of the agricultural and food industries.
