With the development of the information age,new media has been widely used,followed by the development of film and television industry.Film and television information is a double-edged sword in the field of education.With the implementation of the new curriculum reform,films and television programs on history are regarded as curriculum resources and attached more and more importance.2011 edition of the"Curriculum Standards of Compulsory Education" suggested to utilize history-themed videos wisely.Therefore,both in the filed of academia and education,in-depth studies have been carried out on historical film and television resources.On the basis of previous research,this paper focuses on the application of the history-themed film and television resources in history teaching by combining the theory and practice,aiming at providing certain reference value.This paper is made up of six parts as follows:The introduction part explains the reason to choose this topic from five aspects:new requirements for teachers and students demanded by the new curriculum reform,recommendations on the utilization of curriculum resources,the core competencies in the historical discipline,the importance of film and television resources and the impact of information technology on education.Besides,this part also summarizes the research and puts forward the research plan.The second part analyzes the concept and classification of the historical film and television resources in detail.In this research,historical film and television resources are video recordings which can show historical facts with modern media shooting technology.Appropriate degree of artistic fiction is allowed.As for classification,specific types are made from three aspects:the degree of authenticity(whether consistent with the historical facts),film and television content and shooting techniques.In addition,the main forms of these resources in history teaching are analyzed in detail,including TV documentary,TV feature column and reconstructive historical films.The third part analyzes the necessity of applying the historical film and television resources to junior middle school history teaching,considering the psychological characteristics and cognitive ability of junior high school students.In addition,the author analyzes the current situation of the application of these resources in the city where she lives.Conclusions are drawn from the analysis:most students are only interested in the historical video resources;their cognitive ability is inadequate;they haven't developed the habit to study history from these videos while the teachers basically fail to use them in teaching.The author also analyzes the necessity from the perspective of pedagogy.The fourth part discusses the significance of using historical film and television resources in junior high school history teaching.Firstly,it helps students develop the core history literacy,such as the historical materialism,the space-time concept and the patriotism;on the other hand,it arouses students' interest in learning history cultivates their historical thinking ability.In the fifth part,the author elaborates the concrete strategy of applying historical film and television resources to junior middle school history teaching.In terms of classroom teaching,it's possible to create contexts with historical materials and carry out classroom research activities.In this way,we can supplement the teaching materials and broaden the horizons of the students;they will perceive history and have emotional resonance.As for extracurricular activities,we can conduct themed research project and organize students to watch historical videos;we can also hold competitions in debating,handwriting contests or historical drama performance.In the sixth part of the thesis,the author discusses the problems that should be paid attention to and the principles that should be followed in junior middle school history teaching.First of all,the choice of historical videos should obey the principle of authenticity and they should reflect the objective facts.Secondly,the teachers should firmly follow the principle of moderation and be clearly aware of that historical videos are just one type of teaching aids which should be combined with other curriculum resources.Last but not least,the teachers should select the video resources with a purpose to best fit the teaching needs.
