The new textbook "Morality and Rule by Law" began to be used in the seventh grade of junior high school in the fall of 2016,replacing the original textbook "Ideology and Morality",and becoming the curriculum medium to guide the development of students' moral character in the new period.In order to enrich the research of moral education textbooks,optimize teachers' strategies of using textbooks,and promote the professional development of teachers,this study adopts the method of content analysis and comparative research.Taking the textbooks of grade 7 of the People's Education Press " as examples,this paper analyzes the characteristics of the new edition through text comparison,and puts forward some suggestions on how to creatively use the new textbook.The findings are as follows:1.By comparing the compiling basis of the two editions of textbooks,the author finds out that the new textbook adheres to the concept of life moral education,and at the same time emphasizes the concepts of civic consciousness education,rule of law education and Chinese traditional culture education,so as to enhance the character of the times.2.By comparing the content settings of the two editions of textbooks,it is concluded that the content structure of the new edition textbooks has the characteristics of expansibility and integration,and the change of the contents of each theme reflects the concern about the life growth of the students in order to promote the development of the students.3.Based on the quantitative statistics,this paper compares the changes of the instruction setting,activity design,chart display and language expression,and concludes that the new textbook attaches importance to guiding students to learn,adds functional and diverse activity design,intersperses with creative and aesthetic graphic diagrams,etc.4.On the basis of summing up the characteristics of the new textbook,this paper puts forward some suggestions for teachers to use the new textbook: sticking to the idea of linking teaching with life,implementing core values,using textbook resources skillfully,and paying attention to the learning process of students.
