Preschool art education divides into the two aspects of art and music,but Kindergartens tend more on the artistic education.In terms of music,teachers spend more attention on learning and practicing song singing skill.However,there are no specific discussions and researches on the ability of children’s music rhythm.Moreover,the knowledge on the musical rhythm from educators is very scanty.Rhythm is one of the most basic and important elements of music.In a word,if there is no rhythm,the music will lose its color.In recent years,the Ministry of Education has continuously issued articles and announced to pay attention on the art education.Therefore,the music education work is in full swing now.This study selected the rhythm--the most basic element of music education— to develop the deep studies,via measuring and realizing the children’s music rhythm ability level among kids aged 3-6 years.This study is comprised of five major parts.The first part is an elaboration on the backgrounds and purposes for the study,results from all home and abroad researches,and the existing research deficiencies and limitations.The second part is to define the concept of the external influence factors of music rhythm,music rhythm ability and rhythm.The third one is a research design,which includes all research objects,research methods,research contents,the innovations of this research,and the formations and revisions of measurement tools.Setting the study subjects of children aged 3-6 years old in Ningbo kindergarten,and working through nonstandardized music achievement tests to measure the children’s music rhythm ability levels,and quantifying the measured indicators finally.The fourth aspect is the analysis of all research results.Based on the predictive measurements and formal measurements,to analyze and summarize the children’s ability to grasp external influence factors of the rhythm,and to know characteristics of the 3-6-year-old children’s music rhythm ability.Furthermore,to describe objectively the differences in the rhythmic ability of children aged 3-6,and their physical and psychological development factors.The fifth part is to put forward teaching suggestions and discussions about the research inadequacies.According to the four major types of music teaching activities in the Kindergartens,the article claims author’s opinions and suggestions on music teaching.At the same time,it also reflects on the inadequacies of the research.
