Research On Gender Discrimination Of Female Migrant Workers In New Generation

Gender discrimination has always been a problem in women's employment.As a special group of women,the new generation of female migrant workers is more stressed and discriminated.This paper takes the new generation of female migrant workers in the catering industry of Yantai as the main research object,and uses questionnaires,interviews and comparative analysis to explore the employment problem of women from the perspective of gender.The results of the survey show that the new generation of female migrant workers generally encountered sex discrimination in the employment.It is mainly manifested in the recruitment materials,the interview process,the establishment of salary standards and the process of promotion.The ma in cause of sex discrimination in employment is that women are less physically than male,social factors lead to prejudice and women's fertility costs are too high.Through the analysis of interviews that,due to China's existing laws for the definition of sex discrimination in employment is too narrow,the law on gender discrimination in employment of the principle is too abstract,the lack of maneuverability,and dealing with institutional responsibility is not clear,resulting in the new generation of wo men migrant workers "rights difficult".Improving gender discrimination in employment can start from five perspectives.Firstly,we need to improve laws against gender discrimination in employment.Second ly,to improve the employment gender discrimination relief approach.Thirdly,we will promote social pooling and ensure the social security system.Fourthly,enterprises should be fair to the new generation of female migrant workers and actively assume social responsibilities.Fifthly,vocational skills tra ining should be done to improve the quality of the new generation of female migrant workers.
