With the continuous advancement of higher education reform,application transformation has become one of the development approaches of local undergraduate colleges,especially the new-build undergraduate colleges.In the process of transformation,the new-build majors gradually surpassed the development scale of the teacher education majors.With the reform of teacher qualification and major authentication,the advantages of running a undergraduate teacher education major have gradually subsided in colleges and universities.The newly established undergraduate teacher education majors have trained a batch of qualified teachers for local basic education,and their role has been indispensable.How to seize the opportunity of application transformation and give full play to the experience of teacher-training to build an applied undergraduate teaching majors should be considered in newly established undergraduate colleges,which is great significant to improve the quality of teachers' professionals and cultivate excellent teachers for basic education.This study is based on the “Opinions on Strengthening the Teaching Practice of Normal Major Students” and the “Opinions on Implementing the Excellent Teacher Training Program 2.0”.It comprehensively combs the characteristics of major elements of applied undergraduate education and research results of teacher education major construction.On this basis,take N college's Chinese language and literature,English,and chemistry as examples to investigate and research.In this study,the self-edited "Questionnaire for the Construction of Teacher Majors in Newly Established Undergraduate Colleges under the Background of Application Transformation" was conducted to investigate the students in the sample colleges,and interviewed the school teachers.Finally,it is found that the current teacher education major is far from application-oriented professional construction in terms of talent training objectives,curriculum,teacher team,practice links,school-school cooperation,etc..The existing teacher education major construction is inconsistent with the concept and model of current university application transformation demand,and fails to fully demonstrate the characteristics of applied undergraduate teacher education.To this end,the focus is to find out and analysis the puzzle of the objectives,curriculum,faculty,practice,school-school cooperation in the construction of teacher education majors from the government,universities,society,and finally make some suggestions for the application transformation in teacher education major construction.The countermeasures for the construction of applied undergraduate teacher education majors: First,the university itself must be able to recognize the importance of the application-oriented teacher professional training objectives,accurately locate the application-oriented personnel training,and transform the traditional teacher education concept and series policies to promote the application-oriented teaching professional talents;secondly,the government should improve the external system measures of university application transformation and increase the funding investment for application-oriented undergraduate teacher education,guide the society to correctly understand the construction of applied universities to put the application transformation into effect.
