The hope of revitalizing the motherland lies in education,and the hope of revitalizing education lies in teachers.With the acceleration of China's reform,opening up and urbanization process,more and more aspiring young people are pouring into cities from rural areas in order to seek better employment opportunities,and so are teachers and workers.China is a large agricultural country,the vast majority of rural economic development is far behind the development of cities,rural schools are difficult to retain excellent teachers,especially in rural areas do not pay attention to physical education teachers,not to stay and not to go in is an important factor in the shortage of teachers in rural physical education teachers.Through the methods of literature,questionnaire and interview,this paper selects the shortage factors of P.E.teachers in rural primary schools in Shishou as the research object,and from the basic situation,workload and salary pay,working environment,career development,professional identity and factors affecting the shortage of teachers in rural primary schools in Shishou,This paper studies the shortage factors of P.E.teachers in rural primary schools in Shishou,aiming at making rural PE teachers "go down,stay and teach well",enhance the professional attraction of rural P.E.teachers,and promote the healthy development of rural physical education.The resultsshow that:(1)The workload of P.E.teachers in rural primary schools is large and the welfare benefits are low,the school and society have low recognition,the social living environment is not good,and(2)the society and the school have the tendency of heavy culture and light sports,because of the long-term restriction of this reason,The physical education teachers in rural primary schools have not received the attention that schools and society should deserve;(3)The equipping of full-time physical education teachers in rural primary schools is far from meeting the standards set by the State,and the number of teachers in other disciplines is also more frequent;(4)The labor achievements and Labor values paid by PE teachers are not fully recognized,Seriously weakens the enthusiasm of PE teachers to work.
