Socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era,the new era has put forward higher requirements for the cultivation of outstanding personnel,the rapid development of life science needs outstanding talents in the field of biology.However,the large education scale and the large population in our country make the basic school education face severe challenges,and the quality of talent training is not balanced with the requirements of the new era.Especially in the new round of college entrance examination reform,biology has become an elective subject in college entrance examination.The teaching of biology is facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges.With the increasing demand for excellent biology teachers in high schools,the teaching level of biology teachers in senior high school has attracted much attention.Their teaching abilities are related to the quality of teaching.Therefore,the research on the professional development of high school biology teachers plays an important role in improving the teaching level of senior high school biology.Based on the theory of the teachers' professional cycle theme and the five-stage theory of the development of teachers' teaching expertise,using the methods of literature research,narrative research and interview,this paper makes a participatory observation and in-depth understanding of a biology teacher in a high school in Shandong Province,and analyzed the key events in the professional development of the biology teacher.In order to explore the factors that affect the professional development of biology teachers in high schools,some suggestions are put forward to promote the development of teachers in senior middle schools.The author narrates the growth of teacher W from a college student to a mature teacher.Based on the analysis of the growth process of teacher W,this paper analyzes the growth process of W teachers vertically,the author divides their professional development into five stages: preparation stage,adaptation stage,growth stage,promotion stage and maturity stage.At the same time,this paper analyzes the dynamic changes of teacher W's professional knowledge,professional skills and professional sentiment in the course of their professional development,and the external and internal factors affecting teacher professional development are combed out.The external factors include school environment,educational policy reform,teaching and research activities;the internal factors include teachers' professional knowledge and skills,new teachers' role change,teaching reflection and teaching quality,etc.Based on the analysis of the above factors,the author puts forward corresponding suggestions to promote teachers' professional development from three main bodies: colleges,schools and teachers.Firstly,the colleges should play the role of training high-quality normal students.We should optimize the curriculum setting,strengthen the training of normal students' basic teaching skills,paying attention to teaching practice and improving the evaluation standard system of educational practice.Based on the subject characteristics of biology,teachers' students should be trained to possess solid biological experiment operation skills and blackboard painting skills.According to the background of information age,we should pay attention to the development and application of modern information technology in biology teaching resources,and cultivate the application ability of information technology of normal students.At the same time,we should constantly improve the evaluation standard system of educational practice and attach importance to the teaching practice of normal students.Secondly,the teaching schools should attach importance to teacher training,build a platform for teacher growth,promote the construction of biological learning community,and create a good atmosphere for biological teaching and research.Finally,the individual teachers,new teachers should quickly adapt to the role of teachers,accurately grasp the teaching principles,and integrate the biological knowledge into classroom teaching,in order to improve their biological teaching ability,and deal with a good variety of interpersonal relations.In the whole process of professional development,teachers should always have the consciousness of self-development,they establish the concept of educational subject,adhere to students' subject status,and cultivate the concept of cooperative learning.At the same time,the teachers should also constantly speed up the pace of transformation from qualified teachers to excellentteachers.
