Fairy tales play a key role in the development of children.The unified version textbooks have selected many excellent fairy tales,which put into use in September 2016.Based on the research on the selection of fairy tales of other scholars,this thesis analyses the texts of the fairy tale in the unified version textbooks from five aspects of the type,number,content,length and arrangement by comparing the textbooks of the unified version and the textbooks of the people's education editionFairy tales selected in the unified version textbooks,which uses in the primary grades elementary school have several characteristics.Firstly,the proportion of fairy tales is close to 40% in the primary grades unified version textbooks,which indicates that fairy tales become the main subject of reading in the Primary Grades of Elementary School;secondly,fairy tales are mainly domestic creations with a certain proportion of classical folk works and excellent foreign works and all of them are human body fairy tales;thirdly,the length of the book increases gradually with the increase of grades,which is consistent with the overall learning objectives;fourthly,most fairy tales have been partially rewritten to meet the fundamentality and adaptability of unified version textbooks.Fifthly,the primary grades students mainly focus on understanding natural categories,interpersonal relationships,humorous interests,and wisdom philosophical classes on the theme of fairy tales.Sixthly,In the arrangement sequence,it has not only the combination of the unit theme interspersed distribution but also the unit integration centralized distribution.By comparing the unified version with the people's education version,firstly,it is found that the overall number of unified version textbooks are decreased,but the proportion of the unified version textbooks in the fairy tales have increased by 8%.Secondly,in the content of fairy tales,the unified version and the people's education edition are mainly based on domestic fairy tale with the human body;however,the unified version increases the proportion of classical fairy tales,folk fairy tales and some classic fairy tales of foreign countries;thirdly,both the unified version and the people's education edition in the length of the article increase stable in the number of words with the increase of grades.We also found that the average number of words in the unified version is more than the people's education edition in each grade,indicating the unified version requires a higher level of literacy and reading for primary grade children;fourthly,in regard of content,the unified version were rewritten and more detailed by authors,which reduced the obvious fairy tale with moral indoctrination and added a lot of interesting fairy tales.Fifthly,in the orchestration sequence,the unified version has more changes and innovations than the people's education edition,which also take the extension of reading from the classroom to the extracurricular into account.By the interviews with Chinese teachers in the primary grade,I learned about the teachers' understanding of fairy tales and lower grade fairy tales in the unified version textbooks.By combining the overall characteristics of the unified version textbooks,the characteristics of fairy tales,the psychological characteristics of children,and the goals of Chinese teaching in lower grades,the author puts forward the suggestions for the use of the fairy tale selection of the unified version textbooks for the lower grades of primary school.On the one hand,it is significant to improve the fairy tale knowledge of the language teachers in the lower grades of primary schools;on the other hand,improving the teaching level of fairy tales in the lower grades is very critical.I have to mention that it cannot be ignored that introduce extracurricular fairy tales and guide extracurricular reading.
