Since the 1980s,with the rapid development of Chinese economy and the constant adjustment of population mobility policy,a large number of rural labors have flowed to cities. However, restricted by the household registration system, most of the rural migrants who work in cities cannot obtain urban social welfare,so a large number of rural migrants choose to leave the cities and return to their hometown. With the transformation of economic structure and the implementation of Rural Revitalization Strategy, rural areas have more employment opportunities and entrepreneurship opportunities, and the phenomenon of the return of rural migrants has become more and more common. The return of rural migrant workers is a new phenomenon of population mobility in China after the "tide of rural-urban migrant workers".How to alleviate the employment pressure in rural areas and give full play to the important role of rural return labors in the construction of new countryside is an important problem that needs to be solved urgently. To solve the employment problem of rural return labors,we should not only pay attention to their employment choice after returning home, but also pay attention to the improvement of employment quality, including improving income level and welfare guarantee, job stability and so on.It is generally believed that whether it is the choice of employment or the quality of employment,it will be affected by capital endowments owned by individuals and families. However, the existing research on capital endowment and employment situation seldom pays attention to the special group of rural return labors. Therefore, based on the rural household survey data of the Chinese Household Income Project in 2013(CHIP2013),this paper makes an in-depth study on the employment situation of rural return labors in China, focusing on the impact of capital endowment.Through factor analysis, this paper divides the capital endowments owned by rural labors into four categories:human capital, family status endowment, family cultural endowment and family economic endowment.Multiple logistic regression, multivariable linear regression and ordered logistic regression are used to test the impact of human capital and family endowment on the employment choice and quality of rural return labors. The results reveal that moving back has a significant positive impact on the non-agricultural employment of rural labors.Higher human capital and family endowment will significantly improve the probability of non-agricultural employment of rural return labors, the impact of human capital on wage work is greater, and the impact of family endowment on non-agricultural management is greater. Both human capital and family endowment will affect the quality of employment of rural return labors, but family endowment has a more significant impact. It means that there is a trend of stratum solidification in rural areas.Based on the results of empirical research, this paper puts forward some suggestions to improve the employment ability and quality of rural return labors, realize the efficient allocation of human resources, and promote the rational flow of social stratum.
