In 1999,China's colleges and universities began to expand enrollment,and the number of college students has doubled.According to the “China Higher Education Quality Report”,in 2015,the number of college students in China reached 37 million,and the number of colleges and universities across the country reached 2852.Compared with the founding of New China,the gross enrollment rate of higher education has increased by more than 150 times.It is estimated that by 2019,the gross enrollment rate will reach more than 50% and enter the stage of popularization of higher education.While the higher education is booming,it also brings about an increasingly serious employment problem.In the past 2018,college graduates in China broke through the 8million mark for the first time,making the already prominent employment problem even more severe and urgent.Minority college students,as an important talent support and intellectual responsibility for economic development in ethnic areas,their smooth employment is not only related to the interests of individuals and families,but also to the stability of our entire society and the economic and social development of ethnic areas.Due to the influence of historical,cultural and religious factors,minority college students are relatively difficult to find employment.The traditional “package allocation”employment policy has long been transformed into a “free choice of career,two-way choice” employment model dominated by the socialist market economy.As an important place and base for cultivating high-level talents of ethnic minorities,ethnic colleges and universities bear the important historical mission and responsibility for cultivating minority talents for the country.Therefore,the research on the employment intentions of minority college students in ethnic universities is carried out.On the basis of fully understanding the employment intentions of students,students are expected to carry out employment guidance and life planning as soon as possible.This study takes the undergraduate students of minority universities in three ethnic colleges as the starting point.On the basis of fully understanding the employment intention of students,this paper analyzes the causes and influencing factors affecting students' employment intentions,and then puts forward strategies and suggestions.The full text is divided into six parts.The first part is the introduction part,which clarifiesthe research background,research purpose and significance,concept definition,research ideas and methods,innovation points and deficiencies.The first chapter is the theoretical basis,with the theory of expectation,Maslow's hierarchy of needs,and Schultz human capital investment theory as the theoretical support of this research.The second chapter is a review of Chinese and foreign literatures.Through the analysis of the content of Chinese and foreign literatures,it provides a new perspective and direction for the research in the domestic and international research on the employment intentions of minority college students.The third chapter is the empirical part of the employment intentions of minority college students in ethnic universities,including the design of questionnaires,the selection of respondents,the current employment status and existing problems.The fourth chapter analyzes the causes of minority students' employment intentions and summarizes the reasons.The fifth chapter gives its own countermeasures and suggestions from the three levels of government,school and individual to face the problems of the employment intention of minority college students through theoretical guidance and empirical research.
