With the continuous optimization of China's industrial structure and the continuous adjustment of economic structure,the demand for high-quality technical and skilled personnel is more and more exuberant,and their role in the process of economic and social development is also increasingly prominent.As the core force of China's high-quality technical and skilled personnel,higher vocational college students need to constantly improve their self-management ability to promote the improvement of personal comprehensive quality and lifelong development,and at the same time to meet the demands of the rapidly developing economy and society for talents.Therefore,how to improve the self-management ability of higher vocational college students has become a practical problem to be solved.On the basis of combing and summarizing the existing research results,this study aims to conduct an in-depth investigation on the development status of higher vocational college students' self-management ability.According to the results of the investigation and analysis,this paper summarizes the problems existing in the self-management ability of higher vocational college students,and puts forward adaptive improvement strategies,so as to provide impetus for the personal development and social and economic progress of higher vocational college students to some extent.The research selects four higher vocational colleges in Zhejiang province and takes higher vocational college students as the main research object.Through preliminary testing and modification of the self-designed questionnaire,a formal questionnaire is formed.In this study,a questionnaire survey was conducted among573 higher vocational college students from different majors,supplemented by interviews.This study deeply analyzes the development status of general self-management ability and sub-dimensional self-management ability of higher vocational college students and the differences of self-management ability in demography,learning and family background.The following main conclusions are drawn: 1.Higher vocational college students have better self-management ability,but weak self-planning ability;2.The self-management ability of the freshmen in higher vocational colleges is obviously higher than that of the sophomores and juniors;3.The self-planning and self-evaluation ability of students from urban areas is significantly higher than that of students from rural areas;4.The self-management ability of higher vocational college students with excellent comprehensive grades is significantly higher than other students;5.The self-management ability of higher vocational college students who are employed as class leaders is significantly higher than that of students who do not hold classes or other positions;6.The self-management ability of higher vocational college students who have won college level or above awards is significantly higher than that of higher vocational college students who have not won college level or above awards;7.The self-management ability of higher vocational college students with democratic family rearing pattern is significantly higher than that of other types.Based on the investigation and analysis of the current situation of the development of the self-management ability of higher vocational college students,this paper proposes to explore the corresponding strategies from three aspects to improve the self-management ability of higher vocational college students.First,from the individual level,stimulate the initiative and enthusiasm of self-management;second,from the family level,create a harmonious and democratic family atmosphere;third,from the school level,enrich the cultivating forms of self-management ability.
