At present,many cities pay great attention to talents,and in order to attract and retain talents,they have issued policies for talents,showing a competitive situation among cities.From the perspective of sociology,the author summarizes the current situation of urban talent competition,analyzes the reasons and functions of talent competition,and puts forward relevant Suggestions on the basis of reading the policy documents of urban talent and consulting the data of the official website of the government.The research found that the talent competition of the city range is wide,different levels of cities have participated;The categories of talents are diversified,including not only top talents,leading talents and overseas talents,but also young talents including graduates from universities and vocational schools,as well as talents in key industries and social undertakings.The main way of competition is to relax household registration,reward top talents,grant subsidies to talents of all kinds,and provide support for entrepreneurship and employment.In terms of competitive effect,talent shows a trend of flow and agglomeration and differentiation,with more talents flowing into big cities and core cities,more talents flowing into southern cities than northern cities,and more talents flowing back into central and western capital cities.The author thinks this talent competition promotes the flow of talents and optimizes the spatial pattern of population.China's aging population is deepening,the trend of fewer children is obvious,the demographic dividend is gradually reduced,the aging population increases the local financial pressure,the city through the introduction of talent to alleviate the aging degree.Talent competition to relax in promote the construction of a new type of urbanization process,the population urbanization in our country is still in the intermediate stage,there is continued ascension space,new urbanization construction mission has made a clear requirement to relax in,driving the development of urban agglomeration,and put forward to central city center cities inviting talents to promote the urban construction.Talents are the key to the deep implementation of innovation-driven development strategy in cities.Urban talent competition makes the problem of shrinking cities more prominent,and the outflow of talents and population makes the development of shrinking cities more difficult.The large number of talents moving to cities may also cause the problem of increasing contradiction between supply and demand of urban public services in the short term.It is suggested that the city should focus on the measures to cope with the aging of population,and improve the public service facilities in the city according to the needs by combining its own endowment and reasonable positioning,planning and construction.
