With the increasing of global communication and the awakening of national consciousness,national culture has gradually become a research hotspot in the world.There are many excellent national cultures in China,and the concept of multiculturalism generated in the process of common and equal development is of unique value to the culture of each nationality and region in China.The 2011 edition of the new curriculum standard,as a landmark document in China's educational reform,takes "promoting ethnic music and understanding cultural diversity" as one of the basic concepts,and has taken the excellent traditional music of various ethnic groups in China as an important part of music teaching.School education is an important channel for the inheritance of folk music culture.Secondary education,as an important stage of basic education,plays a crucial role in the formation and development of students' national self-confidence and national identity.Inner Mongolia,as an area inhabited by ethnic minorities,is endowed with abundant resources of ethnic music culture.Hohhot,19 middle school,as an ordinary middle school of Hohhot urban district,the school in music education has more seriously,the inheritance and development of national music and school music education,the combination of using music school-based curriculum,the education methods,such as art festival in the middle school to carry out the national music education,a set of relatively complete national music related music education system.The school pays close attention to the importance of folk music in the development of middle school education,and deeply recognizes that as a middle school in Inner Mongolia,it is an indispensable part of middle school music education to make students understand their own national culture,enhance their own national identity and promote the formation of cultural self-confidence.This paper using the survey method to Hohhot 19 middle school of national music education in the music classroom,school-based education methods,such as classroom,festival activities to carry out the field survey,the present situation of combining school interviews,teacher interviews,student interviews,interviews,both inside and outside class records,and teaching practice cases were analyzed and summarized.It is found that there are many problems in the educational methods of folk music used in the development of middle school music education,including the weak foundation of students' folk music,the imperfect professional development of teachers,the unsound development and utilization of school-based curriculum,and the unimproved cultural atmosphere of folk music on campus.Results think that to effectively promote the national middle school music education development and popularization,should be to improve students' ethnic music foundation,strengthening teachers' ethnic music of school-based curriculum in ethnic minority music specialized training,improve teaching methods,create a good campus propagation environment of this a few aspects of national music culture,so as to make the national music in middle school music education get better use.
