With the deepening of the New Curriculum Reform,the guided reading of masterpieces has gradually received the attention of experts,scholars,teachers and schools.The books recommended in the guided reading of masterpieces contain profound ideological connotations,which are an important component of Chinese and foreign cultures.Reading masterpieces can not only enhance the reading and appreciation abilities of middle school students and help them accumulate materials for writing,but also conducive to train and improve their thinking ability and humanistic quality.Currently,many experts and scholars have done researches on the guided reading of masterpieces,and plenty of teachers have actively carried out activities about it,but problems still exist and may affect the completion of teaching tasks.This paper takes the H Middle School in City C as the case of study and combines methods including literature search,interview and survey by questionnaires,to know about the current status of the guided reading of masterpieces among the first grade students in H Middle School.Moreover,it summarizes the existing problems,and proposes specific teaching strategies based on the author's teaching practice,to improve the quality of guided reading of masterpieces and successfully complete related teaching tasks.Firstly,this paper expounded the multiple values and theoretical basis of the guided reading of masterpieces.Secondly,the author investigated the present situation of the guided reading of masterpieces.The author knew about the current status of the guided reading of masterpieces and summarized the problems: the teachers' teaching execution ability is weak in the guided reading of masterpieces,and students had not fully developed good reading habits,and the school support is poor.Then the author analyzed the causes of problems.Finally,the author put forward specific strategies for improving the guided reading of masterpieces from the perspective of teachers,students and school,namely,the improvement of teachers' teaching thought and teaching ability,the innovation of students' reading concept and the cultivation of students' reading habits,and the support of the school.This part is the main focus of this study.Besides,the effects of these strategies are explained,that is,stimulating students' reading interests,maintaining their motivation for reading,inspiring their thinking and enhancing their reading confidence.
