The city not only serve as the important carrier of the modern society but also an important place for the practice of community governance.The key to community governance lies in community participation,but the insufficient community participation has become a bottleneck which restricts the development of our community.This article uses content analysis methods to discover that there are problems in the participation of urban communities in China,such as Insufficiency in participation,institutionalization,and community awareness.Through the analysis of the theoretical model of Huntington's political institutionalization and the applicability of this theory in the community field,it is pointed out that the improvement of the institutionalization of community participation can attract more participation.The improvement of level of institutionalization and community participation has important value for community development.That is,the institutionalization of community participation is the solution to the problem of community participation.the institutionalization of community participation is the path choice for cracking community participation issues and achieving effective urban community governance.Based on the case study of the operation of institutionalization of community participation by the Olympic Village,the concrete path of urban community participation in institutionalization is summarized: to institutionalize the participation of the residents through specific rules such as the rules of the protocol,to establish the organizational guarantee for the participation of the community,and to focus on the specific systems of democracy,the system of talents,and the rule of law system.Thus,the system of multiple participation is institutionalized.
