The Practice Of Social Work Involved In Self-organization Cultivation Of Urban Demolition Resettlement Communities

With the rapid development of urbanization in China since the reform and opening up,many villages in the city and urban villages in the fringe area of the city have been demolished and cleared away.Under the dual effects of the adjustment of urban spatial structure and the shortage of urban land resources,the government often resort to extensive affordable housing construction on the edge of cities,and residents who have lost their residence have to be relocated to such affordable housing units.As a result,more and more resettlement communities spring up in the suburb.The resettlement community not only differs from the rural community,but also distinguishes from the general urban community,featuring the characteristics of social transition in terms of demographic structure,values,living habits and so on.The needs and problems of the residents are special.Community self-organization is not just an important type of community organizations,but also a significant platform of community autonomy.The quantity and quality of community self-organization is one of the vital criteria to measure in a community's self-service capacity.Therefore,it is of great significance to develop community self-organization for enhancing residents' consciousness of autonomy,meeting household demand and solving community problems.Based on this,this paper USES literature analysis,participatory observation,non-structured interview and other research methods to study the self-organization development of X demolition and resettlement community in nanjing.I learned about the problems existing in X demolition and resettlement community;The necessity of X community to cultivate community self-organization and social work involvement is analyzed.The specific practical process that social work involves in self-organization cultivation of X community is described in detail.Finally,based on professional knowledge and practical experience,this paper reflects on the social work intervening in self-organization cultivation of resettlement communities,and points out the problems that social workers should pay attention to in the process of intervening in self-organization cultivation of resettlement communities.
