Research On The Issue Of Urban Elderly Community Participation

At present,with the accelerating process of population aging in China,the number of elderly population has increased dramatically,and the elderly group has increasingly become a force that can not be ignored in the construction of urbanization.At the same time,the concept of active aging and productive aging has been put forward.It also makes the elderly people are getting more and more attention from society.The participation of the elderly in the community can enrich the life of the elderly,tap the development potential of the elderly,and realize the self-worth of the elderly,which is of great value and significance to the individual,the community and the society of the elderly.Based on this,under the guidance of symbolic interaction theory and activity theory,based on the northeast region,the author selects S community and H community in Tiexi District of Shenyang as the research area.The situation of community participation of the elderly in these two communities was investigated and analyzed.In the questionnaire survey of 100 elderly people and the case interviews of 16 elderly people,it is found that the elderly in these two communities are facing many problems in the process of participating in the community,mainly in the following aspects: the actual participation effect is not good,and the form of participation is too concentrated.The participation rate of public affairs is low,and the participation behavior is strong.On this basis,the author combines the professional knowledge of social work.Based on the external environment and internal environment of the elderly,this paper analyzes the causes of the problems existing in the community participation of the elderly in the two communities.At the external environmental level,the main reasons are restricted by the concept of "old and useless" negative aging,the social propaganda about the participation of the elderly is not in place,and the sense of the elderly service of community workers is poor.The arrangement of the participation activities of the elderly in the community is unreasonable,and the resources of the activities are not sufficient.In the aspect of internal environment,the main reason lies in the hindrance of thetraditional role of the elderly in the family,the restriction of their own physiological condition,and the lack of self-development consciousness.Therefore,this paper combined with the professional knowledge of social work,analyzes the positive effect of the community participation of the elderly in the city,and expounds the internal and external environmental elements and relations of promoting the community participation of the urban elderly,the corresponding countermeasures are put forward from the aspects of society,community,family,individual and social work.At the social level,we should create an atmosphere for the participation of the elderly and standardize the platform for participation in the elderly;At the community level,we should improve the service level of the elderly and integrate the resources of the elderly activities;At the family level,provide family emotional support,use behavior to drive and accompany;At the individual level of the elderly,strengthen the level of their own activities and give full play to their own experience potential;At the level of social work,integrating the three working methods,building interactive bridges for the elderly,so as to vitalize the elements of the inner and outer environment of the urban elderly,and promote the community participation of the elderly.Finally,this paper is summarized and reflected.
