Mental health education of university students in China has been launched for more than thirty years.We have made various kinds of efforts such as making guiding principles,regulations and rules,establishing leading group,center of mental health education,providing professional teachers,and well-equipped facilities to push forward this work.In institutions of higher learning,professional courses are offered;tests of mental health conditions are developed;psychiatric consulting are provided;activities on a specialized topic are initiated,precautions against crisis and crisis interference have been taken;and scientific researchers have been conducted.We have accumulated rich experience in this field and these measures have effectively improved mental health conditions of university students.Mental health education in university has been improved as a whole through promotion,exchange,and training.However,some problems such as poor management,lack of norm,poor consulting service,lack of in-depth research,insufficient approach,students' inactive role and optimization of operating mechanism and so on still need to be settled in mental health education in universities of nationalities.Ethnic universities and colleges adhere to service and the purpose of serving minority in minority areas.The students shoulder the important task of inheriting our excellent national cultural,the revitalization of the nation and national region,which attaches the great importance to the national unity and stability in border areas and the reunification of the motherland.On the basis of previous research results,this paper makes a summary and reflection,and tries to make some innovative research.The paper consists of four parts.The first part is the introduction,summarizing the previous research situation and defining some key concepts.In the first chapter,the paper discusses the process of college students' mental health education in colleges and universities,as well as the value of mental health education.The second chapter,taking Beifang University of Nationalities as an example,analyzes the psychological characteristics of college students and the operational mechanism of mental health education,and points out the existing problems.In the third chapter,the author demonstrates the strategies on how to optimize the mental and psychological health of the students in Beifang University for Nationalities in the following three aspects.The first specific optimized strategy,also the innovation of the present research,involves the education notion,aim,content and approach,cooperating to highlight the comprehensive educating philosophy based on humanism and multi-culture,and it should be carried out through long time unremitting efforts in the universities for nationalities.Then,the teaching staff construction is discussed to furthers the optimization of the strategies.In the concluding section,the author summaries the review of literature for the mental and psychological health development in the universities for nationalities,proposing the significance of constructing the psychological system and standards which is both of Chinese characteristics and suitable for the ethnic students in China.In a word,by sorting out the education practice,scientific research results and the status quo,taking Beifang University of Nationalities as an example,the paper puts forward some strategies for the optimization of the national mental health education of University,and to have the innovation,so as to provide some reference to work.
