The introduction of the General High School Chinese Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition)has greatly improved the status of high school reading teaching in Chinese language teaching.Among the 7 required compulsory courses in regular senior high school Chinese teaching,there are 5 reading-related courses,namely“reading and discussion of the whole book”,“cross-media reading and communication”,“literary reading and writing”,“ thinking reading and expression”,and “practical reading and communication”.With the promotion of teaching reforms,society,schools,and families are increasingly paying attention to extracurricular reading.Extracurricular reading is an extension of classroom teaching and is an important part of reading teaching.Many educational scholars are committed to the research of reading teaching.However,with the rapid development of science and technology today,students' reading styles and habits have changed.The basic concept of the course also points out that “focusing on times and building an open,various,and orderly Chinese curriculum”.High school students' extracurricular reading faces new challenges.(1)This paper aims to explore the targeted strategies of high school students in extracurricular reading,and propose scientific advice for high school students in the new era to improve students' reading efficiency and level,and promote the development of a sound personality.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,this article is divided into three pa rts.The specific content is as follows:Chapter One: Investigation and analysis of the current situation of extracurricular reading in high school.In this chapter,students' questionnaires and interviews with Chinese teachers are mainly used to understand the current situation of high school students' extracurricular readings.They start with high school students' understanding of and attitude towards extracurricular reading,motivation for reading,reading methods,reading habits,and reading needs.And analyzing the factors that influence currently high school students' extracurricular reading on the base of the survey data.Chapter Two: High school students' multiple choices for extracurricular reading.This chapter first interprets the connotation of the new media era,and clarifies the diversification of current high school students' extracurricular readings.Then it discusses different aspects of reading media,reading methods,reading content,and reading extensions to specifically analyze high school students' multiple choices in(1)Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China.Ordinary High School Chinese Curriculum Standards [S].Beijing: People's Education Press,2017: 3-12.their extracurricular reading.Chapter Three:High school students' extracurricular reading promotion strategies.This chapter is the core chapter of this paper.According to the diversification of the extracurricular reading of senior high school,it conducts research in aspects of e-reading and paper reading,pastime reading and utilitarian reading,classic reading and fashion reading,reading in class and reading outside class,and proposes corresponding guiding strategies and formulate specific methods for high school students to read after class according to multiple choices.Therefore,it provides a certain reference for the current high school students to carry out extra-curricular reading,and provides help for the Chinese teachers to better perform reading instruction.
