With the continuous development of cycling in our country, the number of amateur cycling events for the general public and the number of participants have also increased. As an open-air sporting event with strong openness, high participation, and complex organization and management work, there are many risky events in amateur bicycle races, and the adverse effects caused by the economic and social aspects are prominent. As for the problem of amateur bicycle risk management, there is still no corresponding academic research in the field of theoretical research. There is a great degree of blindness and arbitrariness in the operation of competition risk management. The existence of these problems has seriously restricted the healthy development of amateur bicycle racing. This thesis focuses on the identification, evaluation and response of event risk, and takes the event management theory as a guide, comprehensively uses the literature data method, expert interview method, and observation method to conduct research on the risk management issues of amateur bicycle racing.as follows:Risk assessment is the premise and basis of risk management for amateur cycling events.According to the timeline of event risk phenomenon, the risk management of amateur cycling events can be divided into pre-competition,match-time and post-competition phases. The three types of risk sources for amateur cycling events are:human-made risk sources composed of competitors, partners, participants, and match participants, and foreign-source risk sources composed of venues, facilities, and equipment.Funds are raised and funds are raised.Use the source of the financial risks that it poses.Specifically, the risk factors in the pre-competition stage are mainly due to improper planning of events, poor management of human resources in events, breakdown of external partnerships, inadequate preparation of materials for venues, delays in the construction of venues, obstruction of sources of funding for events, and errors in the preparation of competition budgets; The risk factors in the competition are mainly the direct participation of the competition in the accident, the indirect participation in the competition, the environmental safety accident in the stadium, the poor basic conditions of the venue, the poor operation of the technical equipment, and the logistical support of the event;the risk factors in the post-game phase are mainly the events.Inappropriate handling, loss of control over site equipment damage,over-expenditure of funds, and accidental over-expenditure of funds.Further analysis can be considered that the risks of amateur cycling events are characterized by necessity, contingency, universality, connection, and controllability.Risk assessment is a scientific and systematic guarantee for the risk management of amateur cycling events.By adopting the analytic hierarchy process,a four-level evaluation hierarchy was established:Target level A risk of amateur cycling competitions, standard level B tournaments, indicator level C competitions and management projects, and program level D competitions running work program risks. The evaluation matrix was established on the basis of this level, and the hierarchical sorting was completed and a consistency check was passed.Through the analysis and analysis of the calculation results,we have obtained three major trends in the importance of risks:In the comparison of the importance of competition operations, the pre-competition preparatory phase is the most important, the second is the running phase during the competition, and the second is the least important after the competition. In each stage of risk importance comparison, each risk source and risk factor directly related to the core content of the competition is relatively more important;in the comparison of the importance of different types of events, the importance of financial factors is relatively prominent, and the importance of human resources factors.Second, the importance of foreign factors is relatively low.Developing risk response strategies is a key step in the implementation of risk management for amateur cycling events.According to the characteristics of amateur cycling competition risk management practices, four basic strategies can be adopted:risk aversion, risk transfer, risk retention, and risk control. In the competition risk management practice,we should grasp the key points, continuously optimize the allocation of risk management resources, and adopt appropriate strategies to deal with risks in a flexible manner. In view of the significant impact of pre-contest preparatory risks on the overall game,it is necessary to focus on the preparation of the event organization and the preparation of competition funds, actively use risk aversion and risk transfer strategies, and try to reduce the risk occurrence probability. In view of the timeliness, high degree of professionalism, and complexity of the situations faced during the competition, the timeliness and mobility of the on-site disposal should be emphasized. It is appropriate to adopt active risk control strategies to reduce the risk. For the continuation of the impact of risk in the closing phase of the game, combined with its relatively low risk importance, the risk self-retention strategy should be applied, and the risks should be proactively completed in a timely manner so as to prevent the occurrence of derivative risks due to processing failures.By studying the risk management of amateur cycling events,it not only expands the research on risk management of sports events,it also enriches and perfects the theoretical system of the management of sports events in China, and also provides scientific basis for risk identification and risk assessment of amateur cycling competition risk management practices.Respond to programs to promote the healthy development of amateur cycling in China.
