On May 20th of 2015,the Ministry of Education,the Ministry of Culture and the SAPPRFT(State Administration of Radio and Television)issued Suggestions on strengthening the construction and application of primary and secondary school libraries in the new period,which says "As the crucial part of State Library Service System,the primary and sencondary school library play a significant role in building the learning society and scholarly society to profoundly perfect the public cultural service system and enrich the spiritual and cultural life of the masses.”In recent years,the country has successively implemented a series of major construction projects for basic education,and especially plunges substancial input in rural area,increasingly improving the materal equipment in rural basic construction of education.As for the library,the rural primary school library is incorporated into the construction planning of primary and secondary schools,bringing out brand new rural primary school libraries,with the collection amount basically reaching the requirements of the library(room)management of primary and secondary school library.However,the extracurricular reading condition of rural primary school is still not optimistic.From the pespective of school library,to serve the students' extracurricular reading,it remains to be integrated into teaching resources and teachers' teaching,cooperating with all parties.The paper mainly adopts case analysis to explore how the rural primary library resources are fully applied to the students' extracurricular reading.The first chapter introduces the basic situation of,including the reading circumstance of family and the education literacy of Chinese teachers.With interviews and questionnaire survey,the second chapter mainly shows the students' use of the school library and the teachers' use of the school library to carry out extracurricular reading teaching.The third chapter analyzes the condition of students,extracurricular reading.The fourth chapter is an analysis of R Primary school library's merits and demerits in helping the students with their extracurricular reading from the three perspectives:the library's own management?the library's cooperaiton with teachers,the library's cooperation with the parents.Aimed at the above problems,the final chapter puts forward some suggestions.
