The 19th National Congress of the Communist Party reports that it is necessary to accelerate the construction of world-class universities and first-class disciplines in China.Departments(secondary colleges)and teachers play an important role in order to build a "double first-class" university.As the specific implementation unit of talent cultivation,scientific research,social service,cultural heritage and innovation activities in universities,the scientific and orderly operation of the department(secondary college)is the guarantee for the realization of various functions of the university.Whether the teachers can fully play its role in the management of the department,especially in the academic management of the department,is particularly critical to the benign development of secondary college.This research takes the university teachers' participation in the academic management of the department as the entry point,focusing on the questionnaire survey method,with the teachers of Y University as the research object.Through rigorous empirical analysis,the paper reveals the current situation of the participation of Y University teachers in the academic management of the department.The paper analyses the main factors of affecting teachers' participation in department academic management from the aspects of academic management institutions and teachers themselves,provides reasonable suggestions for teachers to participate in academic management of university,improves the functions of department,and makes slight efforts to realize the development of university.This research uses the self-developed questionnaires of 'college students' academic management in colleges and universities" to investigate the status of Y university teachers'participation.The questionnaire is collected and analyzed by SPSS 22.0 software.The results show that Y university teachers have the consciousness of participating in academic management,but the degree of participation is limited.In terms of academic management institutions,the academic management institutions of the secondary college of Y University have begun to take shape,but the academic management supervision institutions have not been widely established;The composition of the academic institutions of the secondary colleges and the decision-making methods of affairs are not democratic;The role played by the academic institutions of the secondary colleges belongs to the proposed category.In terms of teachers themselves,academic management matters of the faculty with high degree of teacher participation are the selection and validation of teaching materials,curriculum setting and modification,and the formulation and revision of training programs;The academic management matters of the faculty with low teacher participation are the establishment of academic consulting institutions and the determination of enrollment plans;The advantages of teachers' participation in academic management of department are rich management knowledge and familiarity with the operation mechanism of university;The disadvantages of teachers' participation in academic management of department are lack of professional knowledge and management environment;Teachers prefer to participate in academic management of department by participating in academic institutions.Based on the analysis of the status of Y University teachers' participation in academic management of department,the research finds that there are some problems in academic management institutions of faculty,such as lack of perfect institutional constraints,insufficient awareness of teachers' participation in academic management of faculty,and low participation in academic management matters.Therefore,the paper analyzes the causes of problems from three aspects:the restrictiveness of university management,the orientation of academic management atmosphere,and the influence of teacher's value judgment,and puts forward relevant suggestions from the perspectives of teachers,academic management system and university management environment.
