Study On The Guidance Of Extracurricular Reading In The Middle Grade Of Elementary School

In the process of Chinese teaching and learning nowadays,reading is connected with the ability of words learning,comprehension and writing.Reading teaching consists of in-class reading and extra-curricular reading,the latter is more important to the students of middle grade of primary school which is the transition period from lower grade to higher grade.It's definitely necessary to do a lot of extracurricular reading to enrich the students' knowledge,which can lay a foundation for their Chinese learning when they became seniors or in the future.As a consequence,it's imperative to stimulate and cultivate the reading interest and habit of middle grade students in primary schools.This paper focus on how to instruct effectively the extracurricular reading of students in middle grade of primary school.By the way of investigating reading situation of middle grade students in X primary school in Huangdao district,Qingdao city,studying the relevant literature and the author's teaching practice,the author aim to discuss,practice,rethink and improve the guidance of extracurricular reading in middle grade of primary school.In order to lay a good foundation for efficient Chinese learning in the nearly future,the paper argues that four measures should be taken simultaneously to instruct the extracurricular reading of students,including stimulating the interest,master the methods,improve the ability and cultivating the habit of extracurricular reading.The practice of the paper includes guidance at the teachers,improvement based on the students,assistance based on the parents and integration at the schools' level.It's remarkable to carry out the instruction of extracurricular reading for middle grade students in primary schools.The class has a strong atmosphere of extracurricular reading,a higher reading enthusiasm and every student read extra books on their own initiative.After mastering reading methods such as intensive reading,overview reading,writing reading notes and understanding,the students' ability of reading comprehension and the habit of reading have been significantly improved.
