Ancient poetry is a bright pearl in China's historical and cultural treasure.As an essential part of Chinese teaching,ancient poetry teaching plays an important role in inheriting excellent traditional culture and improving students'appreciation of taste.With the use of compilations and the promotion of core literacy in Chinese,teachers need to pay more attention to the cultivation of students' ability to learn ancient poetry.Based on the characteristics of ancient poetry and the level of students' thinking development,many teachers choose situational teaching methods for ancient poetry teaching,but there are some inevitable problems in the process of application.Therefore,This research mainly investigates how to make Situational Teaching Approach better serve the ancient poetry teaching.This research is divided into four parts:In the first part,summarizing the teaching requirements of seventh grade ancient poetry mainly focusing on reading,understanding poetry,comprehending emotions,and thinking application by summarizing the teaching standards,textbooks and other teaching requirements.Then,by analyzing the characteristics of ancient poetry and the development level of students' thinking,we explore the reasons for the difficulties in the teaching of ancient poetry.Finally,the theoretical basis of the Situational Teaching Approach is summarized,namely,it has a positive effect on stimulating lesson's atmosphere,mobilizing interest,promoting the improvement of aesthetic ability,and improving teaching effects.In the second part,introducing the case school to learn the the cognition of the teaching in ancient poetry and the application of Situational Teaching Approach,analyzing the typical lessons of teachers applying Situational Teaching Approach in ancient poetry teaching,and summarize the actual application of Situational Teaching Approach in ancient poetry teaching.In the third part,through investigation,the problems existing in the situation teaching are summarized as follows:the situation teaching design lacks theoretical guidance;contextual sources of resources are narrow;teaching recognition is in place,and teaching method operations are not in place.There are the reasons for these problems.On the one hand,there are reasons for teachers' limited professional literacy,unclear situation teaching concepts,and utilitarian use of situation teaching.On the other hand,the reasons also include students'interest in learning ancient poetry is weak and their understanding ability is immature.In the fourth part,corresponding improvement suggestions in response to problems in the teaching will be proposed.First,teachers should improve the theoretical literacy in ancient poetry and situation theory by studying related books or participating in training.Second,teachers should broaden the field of context by developing resources for situational teaching in disciplines,student'life and the Internet.Third,Teachers should realize the purpose of making full use of situation-based teaching and improving the use of situations,by conceiving overall situational procedures,enriching the means of situation creation,and constructing a multiple evaluation system.
