This study applies situational teaching method as an auxiliary teaching method in the classical poetry class of the lower grade of primary school,and studies the influence of the application of situational teaching method on the teaching effect of classical poetry of the lower grade.With the continuous renewal of educational ideas and the rapid development of modern information technology,the teaching of ancient poetry in primary school has new requirements.Education and teaching should not only improve students' knowledge level,but also show their vitality.Situational teaching method,which can provide suggestive guidance to students and turn abstraction into image,can play an important role in enhancing the teaching effect of ancient poetry.Taking 66 students from two parallel classes of grade 2 in X Primary School in S City as the research objects,this study conducted the teaching experiment of ancient poetry for three months.Through literature method,experiment method,observation method and interview method,it aims to test the influence of situational teaching method on the teaching effect of ancient poetry in lower grades of primary school.In the experimental process,two parallel classes were respectively experimental class and control class.The experimental class applied situational teaching method to ancient poetry teaching,while the control class applied traditional teaching method to ancient poetry teaching,which solved the following three research problems: first,the influence of situational teaching method on students' learning level of ancient poetry.Secondly,the influence of situational teaching method on students' classroom learning state.Thirdly,the influence of situational teaching method on students' interest in learning ancient poetry.Based on the teaching experiment of ancient poetry,the test results of ancient poetry before and after the experiment,observation results and interview feedback,the following three conclusions are drawn.Firstly,situational teaching method improves students' learning level of ancient poetry.The independent sample T test and paired sample T test were conducted on the results of the two classical poetry tests by SPSS software,and the results showed that the experimental class achieved higher scores in the post-test of classical poetry than the control class.Secondly,situational teaching method improves students' classroom learning status.The researchers made classroom observation of the two classes before and after the experiment.The classroom observation scale was divided into five dimensions:participation state,interaction state,thinking state,generation state and emotional state.The number of students in the five dimensions of the experimental class after the experiment was higher than that of the control class.Finally,situational teaching method improves students' interest in learning ancient poems.Combined with the classroom observation results and interview feedback information,it can be seen that the students' interest in learning ancient poetry in the experimental class is significantly higher than that in the control class.The above three research conclusions confirm that situational teaching method can have a positive impact on the teaching effect of ancient poetry in the lower grades of primary school.In order to enhance the positive influence of situational teaching method on the teaching effect of ancient poetry in the lower grades of primary schools,teachers can strengthen the discipline management in the course of classroom teaching by putting forward class discipline requirements to students.Create appropriate situation,fully mobilize students to participate in the initiative and enthusiasm of situational performance;The effective application of situational teaching method in the teaching of ancient poems in the lower grades of primary schools can enhance students' love for ancient poems,make up their shortcomings in learning ancient poems,and improve the classroom teaching effect of ancient poems in primary schools.
