The study of high school mathematics reading is an important subject with realistic significance.Through literature review,this study has made a detailed analysis of the research status of mathematics reading of middle school students in China,and condensed out the connotation of mathematics reading in the broad and narrow sense: the broad sense of mathematics reading refers to the reading of all mathematical materials;In the narrow sense,mathematical reading refers to the psychological process of reading mathematical materials,including information acquisition,character coding,language translation,reading reasoning,comprehensive understanding and other processes.Through questionnaire,investigation and data analysis,from the cognition of mathematics reading,interest and attitude,strategy and metacognitive four dimensions to understand the current situation and problems of students' mathematics reading in high schools,come to a conclusion as follows:(1)students' mathematics reading situation overall to pass the level,the gap between individual is not big,the cognition,interest and attitude is not optimistic.(2)there is no significant difference in the overall status of mathematics reading between the students of key classes and non-key classes,science classes and arts classes;(3)the overall performance of mathematics reading of middle school students in urban areas is significantly better than that of middle school students in suburban areas,especially in terms of cognition,motivation and strategy.(4)there are gender differences in the status quo of math reading,with boys performing significantly better than girls,and the differences in interest,habit and metacognition are more prominent.Through practical teaching and typical case studies,this paper explores and analyzes the cases of reading teaching in extracurricular extended reading and traditional mathematics classroom.Through the case study of extracurricular extended reading teaching,the reflections and inspirations obtained provide reference and reference for teachers.(1)to carry out extracurricular extended reading teaching based on four principles: to cultivate students' core quality in mathematics,to be student-oriented,to be interesting and to be expanded;(2)pay attention to the improvement of students' thinking mode and mathematical ability;(3)to cultivate students' mathematical rational spirit;(4)diversified teaching forms.Through the typical case study about how to permeate the mathematics reading teaching in the traditional classroom,we get some inspirations and suggestions :(1)the problem situation is living,and the mathematics abstract ability is cultivated;(2)diversified language expression and training of language translation ability;(3)naturalization of the exploration process,emphasizing mathematical thinking and methods;(4)expanding knowledge and permeating the characteristics of mathematical culture;(5)classroom summary is integrated to form reflective consciousness.Based on the theoretical research and empirical investigation,the author obtained the cultivation strategies and suggestions for mathematical reading.(2)detailed teaching methods and strategies for mathematical reading;(3)create thinking and expression opportunities to cultivate mathematical reading ability;(4)active thinking and cultivation of reflective consciousness;(5)expand reading and create a good atmosphere for mathematics reading.
