Investigation On The Current Situation And Countermeasures Of Drinking Water Safety In Ruian City

In recent years,with the rapid economic development,the infrastructure in Ruian city has made great progress.However,the current situation is not optimistic because of some o bvious security problems existing in water supply.It is the first priority to improve the wate r supply and ensure water security on the conditions of drinking water shortage,water plant construction lagging behind,aging pipes,outdated water treatment technologies,non-stand ard water supply management.On the basis of the statement of concepts and contents of drinking water safety as well as the domestic and foreign development in drinking water safety research,this article has made a comparison with foreign countries on aspects of water quality standard,water treat ment technologies and management and water distribution quality management.It is the the oretical basis of the research on how to improve drinking water safety in Ruian city.This article focuses on the analysis of water supply in Ruian city,including eiyunjiang River System,Wenrui Tanghe River System and Ruiping Tanghe River System.The verage total water resources of Ruian reaches 1 billion 679.5 million m3,including 1 billion544.5 million m3 of surface water resources and 135 million m3 of underground water resources.The total water resources per unit area is 1.32 million m3/km2 and the total water resources per capita is 1,465 m3.At present,Ruian has 7 drinking water reservoirs in use,that is,zhao shandu Reservoir,Huling Thirty-Three Streams Reservoir,Ma'an Mountain Reservoir,Tongxi Reservoir,etc.Besides,there are 7 backup drinking water supplies,including Jiyun Mountain Reservoir,Linxi Reservoir,and Danan Reservoir.Only Huling Thirty-Three Streams Reservoir,Ma'an Mountain Reservoir,and Tongxi Reservoir can meet the ?water quality requirement,and all the backup drinking water supplies are under the ? requirement.Ammonia nitrogen and total phosphorous are the main water pollution index.The existing problems of drinkingwater in Ruian city are mainlyas follows:clean water shortage,water plant construction lagging behind,heavy task in pipe net work transformation,outdated water treatment technology and unsmooth water supply system.Finally,combined with situation in Ruian city,this article puts forwardthe general objec tive to solve the problems of water supply safety in Ruian city:speeding up the construction of water supply projects in central area and Tangxia area,promoting water plant transforma tion in villages and towns,enlarging the popularization of centralized water supply in rural areas,implementing the orderly reform in water supply pipe network,further improve the w ater supply system.It also points out countermeasures to fulfill the objective:more water su pply together with water saving and protection;more guidance and better water plants plan ning;faster pipes transformation and more security;deeper administrative system reform an d better running system;improved water quality inspection system and inspection level;bet ter emergency plan and more emergency guarantee.
