Poverty is usually measured by a single dimension of per capita income or consumption level, but after in-depth research by scholars, poverty itself is multi-dimensional.Poverty includes both the inability to maintain basic needs due to insufficient income and the lack of basic abilities such as health and education due to social distress.Only using money to measure poverty can not accurately identify the group with the lack of basic ability, and can not fully reflect the poverty situation.Using a multi-dimensional method to measure poverty can better identify the poor and carry out poverty assistance more accurately and effectively. This paper uses the 2011 and 2015 China Health and Nutrition Survey data to measure and analyze the multidimensional povert y in Hunan Province.Firstly, based on the MPI indicator system, the AF method is used to measure and decompose the multi-dimensional poverty index of rural households in Hunan Province.Through measurement,we find that: First, the single-dimensional poverty rate has decreased except for the housing index, indicating that rural households in Hunan Province The poverty situation in all aspects of housing indicators has improved.Secondly, through vertical comparison,we find that the incidence of poverty and the multidimensional poverty index show a downward trend, which means that the number of poor people is not only decreasing, but also the poverty level of the poor is also reducing..Third,the poverty of health facilities, income poverty, cooking pover ty and drinking water poverty are more prominent among poor families. In the future, poor families should be assisted by measures such as increasing income and improving rural household infrastructure.Fourth, with With the increase in the number of indica tors, income poverty has declined in the total poverty contribution rate and education poverty has been rising in the total poverty contribution rate. Therefore, education assistance for families with deeper poverty is more effective than income assistance.Subsequently, using the ordered multivariate Logit model, the impact on rural household poverty in Hunan Province was studied from the individual level and the family level.Through analysis,it was found that the households with or without work, the age of the household head, the number of students and the size of the family affected the poverty of rural families in Hunan Province.Significant.On a personal level, the greater the age of the head of the household, the greater the probability that the hea d of the household will fall into poverty;no job is more likely to fall into poverty than a working household. At the household level, the fewer students there are,the less likely they are to fall into poverty;when the number of households is one or mor e,the probability of falling into poverty is greater.Combining with the research done by other scholars and combining with the development status, this paper proposes to establish a scientific and rational standard of poverty division, develop skills tra ining to improve the development capacity of rural residents, improve the security system to improve the development capacity of rural residents, and classify poverty alleviation according to the causes of poverty. The endogenous motivation and self-development ability of rural poor families in the province are to achieve poverty alleviation and synchronization.
