Analysis Of High-quality Economic Development In Provinces And Regions Along China's "Belt And Road"

Over the past 40 years of reform and opening up,China's economy has developed rapidly and achieved extraordinary successes.China has become the world's second largest economy;behind high investment,high consumption and high growth,excessive energy consumption,environmental quality deterioration,and economic structure The quality problems of economic growth,such as imbalances and widening income gap,have become increasingly prominent.Therefore,the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out: In the past,economic development blindly pursued quantity,while ignoring the quality of economic development.China's economy is now in a transition from quantity to quality.This is the requirement of the times,and it also shows that China's economy is developing in the direction of the new normal.Promoting high-quality development must take the five development concepts of innovation,coordination,green,openness and sharing as the core,and implement the new development concept into all links and the whole process of highquality development.In 2013,the proposal of the “Belt and Road” initiative opened China's door to the world.In 2018,General Secretary Xi proposed to promote the joint construction of the “Belt and Road” towards high-quality development as a basic requirement for the next stage of work.And the “Belt and Road” as an important regional development in China,studying its high-quality economic development level,can provide an important basis and reference for the study of national economic high-quality development.Therefore,to explore the high-quality economic development level of the provinces and regions along the “Belt and Road” in China,and to clarify the current positioning of high-quality economic development,play an important role in deepening the opening up,innovating development,and letting the people share development achievements.On the basis of understanding the connotation of the five development concepts,this paper aims to promote the high-quality economic development,analyzes the current economic development status of the provinces and regions along the route,and points out that there is still a resident income gap in the high-quality economic development of the provinces and regions along the “Belt and Road” Problems such as large scale,deteriorating environmental quality,and uncoordinated regional development.Therefore,based on the evaluation index construction principles,26 indicators were selected from the five dimensions of innovative development,coordinated development,green development,open development,and shared development to build China's "Belt and Road".Provincial and regional economic high-quality development evaluation index system,using the global principal component analysis method to calculate the comprehensive score of economic high-quality development of various provinces and cities,using cluster analysis,coefficient of variation,Theil index and other methods for the 2008-2017 China Evaluation and analysis of 17 provinces and autonomous regions along the “One Road” route,analysis of differences from time series,regional and dimensional perspectives,and classification of 17 provinces and autonomous regions to enable a more comprehensive analysis of the provinces and regions along the “Belt and Road” in China High-quality economic development level.The results show that: First,in terms of time series,first,since 2008,the provinces and regions along the line and non-line regions have shown an increasing trend.In 2013,the highquality economic development level of the frontier provinces and regions was slightly higher than that of the non-line regions,2013 After the year,the non-along provinces and autonomous regions surpassed those along the provinces,but the gap gradually decreased;secondly,from the time series of high-quality development along the provinces and regions,the overall scores from 2008 to 2012 were lower than the average level,and the “Belt and Road” initiative was proposed in 2013.After that,the level of high-quality economic development began to be higher than the average and grew faster;finally,the overall difference in high-quality economic development was more obvious before 2013,and the difference after 2013 was small and gradually stabilized.Second,from a regional perspective,it can be concluded from the analysis of the internal differences of the four major regions: the high-quality economic development of the coastal regions in the southeast shows a high level,of which Hainan is in a backward po7 sition,the northeast region in Liaoning Province shows a dominant position,and the southwest region Chongqing is more prominent,and Shaanxi Province stands out in the northwest region;in the analysis of regional differences,the highquality economic development level of the four regions is basically the same as its economic development level.It is ranked first in the southeast coastal region,second in the northeast region,and southwest.The region is third,and the northwest region ranks at the bottom.Decomposition of regional differences found that the internal differences among regions are greater than the differences between regions.From the perspective of internal differences among regions,the order of economic high-quality development of provinces and regions along the route is: southeast coast> northwest region> southwest region> northeast region.Third,looking at different dimensions,in the overall level of the five major dimensions,except for open development that has little effect on the level of high-quality economic development,the remaining dimensions all have a promoting role,of which the most prominent role is the coordinated development;the opening of the four major regions There was almost no growth in development between 2008 and 2017,and indicators in other dimensions all showed growth trends;the five major dimensions of the southeast coastal region all showed leading levels,while the northeast and southwest regions were at the middle level,and the
