Research On Problems And Countermeasures In The Development Of Cross-border Logistics Of Cainiao Network

With the deepening of economic globalization and the continuous promotion of the Belt and Road Initiative,cross-border e-commerce,as a new form of trade,plays a more and more significant role in domestic economic development and foreign trade,and becomes a new driving force in the growth of China's economy and foreign trade.In the circumstance,a growing number of companies intend to sell inexpensive high-quality goods made in China to the world,in the meanwhile,more and more consumers have an increasing demand for the overseas goods and want to buy them from all over the world.To comply with,Alibaba continues to enrich its global business system,it has established cross-border import and export e-commerce platforms such as Alibaba international station,AliExpress and Tmall Global and achieved rapid development.Nevertheless,the rapid development of cross-border e-commerce can not be achieved without the strong support of crossborder logistics which is regarded as the "last mile of cross-border e-commerce".To this end,Cainiao Network,Alibaba's logistics platform,extends its China Smart Logistic Network(CSN)worldwide,and sets up the world's largest open cross-border logistics network,and coordinates global logistics resources by the advantage of big data,optimizing cross-border logistics services and enhancing cross-border shopping experience.In the context,on the basis of Regional Logistics Theory,Circular Economy Theory and Intelligent Economy Theory,this thesis analyzes and summarizes the current situation of Cainiao Network's cross-border logistics,and discovers the problems and the influencing factors of them in the development of Cainiao Network's cross-border logistics.And this thesis measures the importance of the influencing factors by the use of random forest algorithm and probes the factors,aiming to find the underlying causes of the problems and to provide feasible suggestions for Cainiao Network's cross-border logistics.Firstly,this thesis analyzes and summarizes the current situation of Cainiao Network's crossborder logistics from the perspective of its construction and its cooperative partners,as well as the principle problems in the development of Cainiao Network's cross-border logistics from the external and internal dimensions systematically.On account of the disparity caused by objective reasons in different fields such as government support,the customs clearance,infrastructure,internet and information technology in different countries,Cainiao Network's cross-border logistics is at different stages of development in foreign countries,also its development is easily stalled in the fierce competition.At the same time its own shortcomings lead to the lack of coordination among partners,delay in updating the data,high costs in infrastructure and the need to the improvement of its intelligent logistics,etc.Secondly,this thesis explores the main influencing factors of Cainiao Network's cross-border logistics through questionnaire method,and ascertains the importance of the influencing factors by random forest algorithm.Last but not least,as for the existing problems,this thesis,combining the various importance of the influencing factors,offers the corresponding strategies and suggestions for the improvement of Cainiao Network's cross-border logistics,including it that it can accelerate the upgrading of the information system,actively seek the support from different governments,promote the construction of intelligent logistics,give priority to enterprises with high degree of tactic and satisfaction,establish a good incentive mechanism,learn from the successful experience of outstanding competitors and strengthen the training of complex talents and so forth.At present,although the cross-border logistics services network of Cainiao Network constantly expands and its service level constantly improves,there is still a certain distance in logistics efficiency for Cainiao Network to reach the goal of “delivering in 72 hours worldwide”.Hopefully,through the studies of the problems in the cross-border logistics of Cainiao Network and the countermeasures,this thesis can provide reference for the development of Cainiao Network's crossborder logistics,and furthermore for the improvement of the efficiency of cross-border logistics and the overall development level of logistics industry in China.
