| Chinese civilization has a long history.In the Western Han Dynasty,the emperor sent Zhang Qian to the western regions to open up the silk road.The opening up of the silk road built a bridge for economic and cultural exchanges between the east and the west,promoted the economic and trade development along the line,and witnessed the history of exchanges between the Western Han Dynasty and the western regions.The silk road is a road of friendship connecting China with Western Asia and European countries.It is a brilliant stroke of Chinese history.As a subject of cross-cultural communication,translatology builds a bridge between different cultures.It makes it possible for different countries,regions and nationalities to communicate with each other.The target of this consecutive interpreting practice is an NHK documentary series,the New Silk Road,which introduces the Chinese style and features.NHK documentary series New Silk Road is divided into nine episodes,with a total length of 13 hours and 20 minutes.It introduces the features of cities along the Silk Road.This practice report selects the excerpts from the sixth episode of the documentary as the translation samples to carry out the consecutive interpretation practice.This report consists of four parts.The first part is the introduction.This paper introduces the purpose,significance and related research.The second part is the practice process.The third part is the case study.Guided by the cultural translation theory,from the perspective of vocabulary and sentence,it analyzes and summarizes the translation methods suitable for documentaries.The fourth part is the summary of translation practice,aiming at the difficulties encountered in translation,puts forward the corresponding solutions,and summarizes the experience of this translation practice. |
