| In the new historical period,people are paying more attention to the changes in the type of land use as the nation’s requirements for the coordinated development of population,resources,and the environment are increasing.The LUCC plan made land ues change research become a hot field.This plan was proposed by IGBP and the IHDP in 1990s.And the driving force of land use/cover change is the focus area of LUCC research plan.The driving factors that affect land use change mainly include natural and socio-economic factors.Natural factors are mainly divided into climate,geology and geomorphology,hydrology and so on,while social and economic factors are mainly divided into population,science and technology,policy,economy and so on.The influence of the former is generally time span is large scale area or some area larger the change of land use types,which are some medium and small scale of the influence of the main area or the land use change in a short period of time.Population factors are more active in quantity and distribution,and become one of the key points in the study of social and economic driving factors.Hubei Province is located in the central region of China.There have been many problems that cannot be ignored in land use,such as the land use mode is extensive,contradiction between man and ground and so on.If they cannot be resolved in a timely,effective,and reasonable manner,these problems will gradually become a major bottleneck restricting the economic growth in Hubei Province.This paper takes Hubei Province as an example,based on relevant statistical data and literature data,first analyzes the status of land use/cover change and the population development history in Hubei Province,and then discusses the relationship between land use change and population development in Hubei Province.It is helpful to understand the driving factors of land use change in Hubei Province,and provides policy decision basis for the harmonious development and scientific development of land use and population in Hubei Province.There are four parts in this paper:The first part is introduction.It briefly discusses the background of land use change and the meaning of the topic selection,the status of research on land use/cover change at home and abroad,it also contains the main contents,methods and technical route.The second part is the theories and method.The land use dynamic degree model,land use degree model and correlation analysis method are introduced in detail.Based on the analysis of the survey area,the land use data is processed.The third part is empirical research.It is divided into three aspects:the land resources,population development,and the correlation analysis between land use and population.The fourth part is the result and discussion.It analyzes the characteristics of land use types in the past 10 years,discusses theoretically the relationship between land use and population,and forecasts the changes in the relationship between land use change and population development in Hubei Province in the near future,and the research conclusions are presented.Finally,the research significance and research prospects are discussed.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1).Hubei Province is located in the middle of China’s mainland and is located in the Jianghan Plain,with a high level of economic development.However,there are still problems such as the extensive use of land and the contradictions between people and land in land use.(2)Land use changes rapidly in Hubei Province.Among them,the change of land used for transportation and unused land is more intense,and the change of cultivated land and other agricultural land is relatively small.The trend of land use change in the future is that the area of land for construction will continue increasing,and the area of cultivated land and unused land will continue to decrease,but the declining trend will gradually slow down.(3)The degree of land use in Hubei Province is in a period of continuous growth,and the growth trend is even more pronounced after 2008.Increased land-use intensiveness and changes in land-use methods will all contribute to the continued growth of local land use.(4)The land quality in Hubei Province is relatively low.There are problems such as soil erosion,soil pollution,and extensive use of land.(5)The total population of Hubei Province is showing a growing trend.The urbanization level of the population and the quality of the population are also constantly rising.The population distribution is characterized by more in the east and less in the west.(6)The land use change in Hubei Province is consistent with the population development trend and is in line with the continuous improvement of the socio-economic development level in the province.Land use changes are closely related to population factors. |
