| Career decision-making difficulties are one of the most important issues that need to be studied in college students’ job hunting,and career decision-making difficulties are closely related to individual personality characteristics.Based on previous studies,this study adopted the Active Personality Scale,Self-Efficacy Scale(GSE),and Self-Esteem Scale(SES)on 622 college students(286 males and 336 females)in general full-time colleges.),Career Decision-Making Difficulty Scale to conduct surveys,use SPSS23.0 and SPSS PROCESS statistical data and conduct in-depth comparative analysis and comprehensive discussion.Results:(1)Generally speaking,the average scores of college students’ proactive personality(5.415±0.345),self-efficacy(3.791±0.246),and self-esteem(3.157±0.192)were significantly higher than the median score,and career decision-making The difficulty level is also low(3.893±0.376);(2)College students’ career decision-making difficulty scores are different in different places of origin,whether they have further studies/plans to take public examinations(p<0.05),and they are very different in gender and whether they are only children.Significant(p<0.01),the difference is extremely significant in different grades,whether there is internship experience,and whether there is a vocational qualification certificate(p<0.001),while the difference in different majors is not significant;(3)the subject’s initiative personality,Self-efficacy,self-esteem and career decision-making difficulties are all pairwise significantly correlated(p<0.001);(4)Active personality can positively predict the scores of college students’ career decision-making difficulties scale(β=0.286,p < 0.01);(5)Self-efficacy and self-esteem play a chain-like intermediary role in the influence of proactive personality on career decision-making difficulties(p<0.05).Conclusion:(1)The average scores of initiative personality,self-efficacy,and self-esteem of college students are significantly higher than the median score,which proves that college students’ initiative personality,self-efficacy and self-esteem are at a relatively high level;career decision-making difficulties score higher,That is to say,the level of college students’ career decision-making difficulties is relatively low;(2)The scores of college students’ career decision-making difficulties are different in different places of origin,whether they have further studies/plans to take public examinations,and there are significant differences in gender and whether they are only children.There are significant differences in grades,whether they have internship experience,and whether they have a vocational qualification certificate.From a more specific point of view,urban students have more careers than those in rural areas,college students with further education/examination plan than college students without further education/examination plan,and college students with internship experience than college students without internship experience.College students with qualification certificates have a lower level of career decision-making difficulty than college students without vocational qualification certificates;the results show that the difference in career decision-making difficulty scores of college students in different majors is not significant,which proves that there is no obvious difference in the level of career decision-making difficulty among college students of different majors;(3)Participants’ proactive personality,self-efficacy,self-esteem and career decision-making difficulties are all significantly correlated with each other;(4)Active personality can positively predict the scores of college students’ career decision-making difficulties scale,and thus negatively predict career decision-making Difficulties;(5)The proactive personality partly affects career decision-making difficulties through self-efficacy and self-esteem.Self-efficacy and self-esteem play a chain-like intermediary role in the influence of proactive personality on career decision-making difficulties. |
