Excessive pesticide residues in vegetables not only pose great threaten on the health of consumers, but also cause food safety and even social problems, affecting social stability. It is of great significance to strengthen the quality and safety management of vegetables, standardize the use of pesticides, improve the detection system of pesticide residues and ensure the quality and safety of agricultural products.Heilongjiang province locates in the northeast of our country, with four distinct seasons and great seasonal temperature difference.Vegetables are in relatively sufficient supply in summer and autumn, while the self-sufficiency rate of vegetables in off-season is only 55-60%.The vegetables supplied to our province are mainly from Shandong,Liaoning,Hebei and other provinces, with great varieties including cucumber, eggplant, tomato, celery, etc. This paper conducted a sampling survey and statistics analysis on the pesticide residues of vegetables in 15 cities in Heilongjiang province from 2015 to 2017.The vegetables sampled were classified into 10 categories: cabbage, allium and garlic, beans, kale, melon, green leafy vegetables, jacket, potato and taro, perennial and miscellaneous vegetables and root vegetables. The sampling areas include vegetable production bases, farmers' markets, vegetable wholesale markets and supermarkets.A total of 58 types of pesticides were tested, including banned pesticides, restricted pesticides and conventional pesticides. The main results were as follows:(1)From 2015 to 2017,the qualified rates of vegetable pesticide residues in Heilongjiang province were 97.91%,97.00% and 98.51%,respectively,and the three-year average qualified rate was 97.81%;(2)From the results of the overall monitoring situation in the past three years, there are certain safety risks in both Heilongjiang province and other provinces, and the overall qualified rate of vegetable pesticide residue in Heilongjiang province is generally higher than those in other provinces;(3)The three-year average passing rate of pesticide residues in different kinds of vegetables showed that mustard was the highest with the passing rate at 100%,and the lowest were cabbage and green vegetables with the passing rate of 95.99% and 94.54%,respectively;(4)The types of pesticides exceeding the standard include the banned pesticides with high toxicity such as 666,and the non-banned pesticides such as oxycarb, budweiser and chlorpyrifos. The main reasons for pesticide residues in Heilongjiang province were proposed as follows: farmers' illegal use of pesticides, weak awareness of environmental protection, incomplete pesticide detection system and non-standard operation of vegetables and lettuce. In order to control pesticide residues in vegetables in Heilongjiang province, the following countermeasures are proposed in this paper:(1)To strengthen the publicity of pesticide use by vegetable farmers, and to train farmers in scientific pesticide use;(2)Strengthen the detection of vegetable quality and safety, improve the monitoring system and the risk management level;(3)Promote the standardized production of vegetables, popularize good agricultural practices, and popularize pollution-free vegetable production. The statistical analysis results of pesticide residues reveal the cause of excessive pesticide residues in Heilongjiang province, put forward countermeasures for effective control of vegetable pesticide residues, and ensure vegetable quality and safety, improve the vegetables pesticide detection system in Heilongjiang province, speed up the vegetable safety production guarantee, and promote the healthy development of vegetable industry in Heilongjiang province.
