The compilation of textbooks compiled by the Ministry of Education is not only a new attempt under the background of the new curriculum reform,but also the weathervane of Chinese teaching reform.From the task group of "Introduction to Classics" in junior high school to "Whole Book Reading" in senior high school,we can find that the compilation of Chinese textbooks attaches great importance to the whole book reading.This requires teachers to take the whole classics as the teaching carrier and to take improving students' reading ability as an important teaching goal in the reading teaching.The key to improving the ability of reading the whole book is to master the methods.This paper studies the teaching on the methods of whole book reading in junior middle school based on the“Reading Methods Guidance”.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the background and significance of the topic,research status,research purpose,research methods and the innovation points of the paper.The second part gives an overview of the “Reading Methods Guidance”.This part analyzes and introduces the contents of the five columns involved in the Introduction to Classics and concludes the necessity of attaching importance to the teaching of "Reading Method Guidance" from three aspects:curriculum standard,textbook arrangement and proposition trend of senior high school entrance examination.The second part also summarizes the contents of “Reading Methods Guidance” in the textbooks and expounds the teaching value of it from the aspects of teachers and students.Through the field investigation of two schools in Fuyang City,the third part analyzes the implementation of the Introduction to Classics compiled by the Ministry of Education and studies whether the teachers of the school surveyed understand the intention of setting up the new column "Reading Methods Guidance" in the textbooks and how they implement in the process of teaching.Through the investigation,it is found that there are some problems in the teaching process,such as not including reading methods in the necessary teaching content,uneven teaching guidance of reading methods,single teaching form,unclear evaluation criteria and so on.The fourth part analyzes the teaching cases of four different genres by famous teachers and summarizes the teaching experience that can be used for reference.The fifth part is about the teaching strategy of "Reading Method Guidance".In view of the problems presented in the previous questionnaire survey,this paper puts forward some suggestions on teaching the Introduction to Classics from establishing teaching objectives,constructing reading tasks,teaching forms to teaching evaluation.
