Establishing the competence of different categories of industries is a hot research issue in the fields of medicine,psychology and management.It began to penetrate the education industry in the 1990 s.After continuous development,it has gradually been applied to competency research in schools,business units and other industries.The research on the competence of physical education teachers is relatively extensive,and the volleyball teachers of colleges and universiti es have not been involved.Based on the in-depth analysis of the literature,this study combined behavioral event interviews to compile a questionnaire for the competence characteristics of volleyball teachers in ordinary universities in Sichuan Province.Using Delphi method,a questionnaire survey was conducted on 15 outstanding volleyball teachers.,The theoretical model is determined initially;and on this basis,a questionnaire is prepared,and the effective questionnaires that are recovered are analyzed,and the analytic hierarchy process is used to give weight to the in dicators of each dimension.After research,the competence model of volleyball teachers in ordinary colleges and universities in Sichuan Province was obtained,and the model was modified to finally determine the structural model of 5 dimensions and 24 competency characteristics.The conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)The Sichuan University Volleyball Teacher Competency Feature Scale is composed of 5 dimensions and contains a total of 40 items.The composition of experts,the degree of authority of experts,the enthusiasm of experts,and the degree of coordination of experts in Delphi method are high.It also shows that the data is credible.(2)The competency model of volleyball teachers in ordinary colleges and universities in Sichuan Province is composed of 5 dimensions and 24 competence characteristics,of which the "theory and knowledge" dimension includes volleyball specific theory,sports training theory,physical education theory,interdisciplinary knowledge,and education theory;The "teaching and training" dimension includes teaching methods and methods,teaching evaluation and feedback,explanations and demonstrations,teaching research and teaching reform,and guidance training;the "scientific research and innovation" dimension includes scientific research results,information collection capabilities,scientific research transformation,innovative capabilities,and scientific research methods;"Personal traits" dimensions include emotional performance,extraversion,adherence to justice,teamwork,communication;"occupational awareness" dimensions include career goals,professional attitudes,job responsibilities,and social comparison.(3)The analytic hierarchy process was used to gradually determine the weights of dimensions and indicators in the evaluation system of volleyball teachers' competence in ordinary colleges and universities in Sichuan Province.A competency evaluation system based on the secondary evaluation structure of the volleyball teacher's competence model in ordinary colleges and universities was established.The five first-level index weights are:theory and knowledge(0.1737),teaching and training(0.2053),scientific research and innovation(0.3795),personal characteristics(0.1275),and professional cognition(0.1140).This study explores the evaluation methods and applications of volleyball teachers in ordinary colleges and universities in Sichuan Province based on competency theory and quantitative assessment methods of competence,and empowers primary and secondary indicators.With a view to using the new perspective of "competency",to explore the competence structure of ordinary college volleyball teachers,to promote the scientific management of volleyball teachers' recruitment,selection,training,performance and other tasks,and to provide management for ordinary college volleyball teachers in Sichuan Province And development provide empirical evidence and theoretical methods.
