With the advent of the era of knowledge economy,an atmosphere of learning for all and lifelong learning has gradually taken shape,which constructs a learning society that calls for deep learning by learners.Leaving a blank in class sets aside a period of their own math time for students,so that students can reconstruct mathematics knowledge in time,participate in mathematics activities,transfer and apply what they've learned and evaluate and reflect on themselves,which plays a positive role in achieving deep learning.Despite its importance,carrying out research on leaving a blank in class based on deep learning remains insufficient,and little focus has been paid on the relation between leaving a blank in class and deep learning in the previous study.Besides,given the intensive mathematics course in middle school,students are deprived of the opportunity to think.Therefore,it is relevant to conduct research combining both leaving a blank in class with deep learning.This paper first analyzes literature through the literature review,defines the related concepts of deep learning and leaving a blank in class based on the basic concepts of mathematics subject standard in compulsory education,Metacognitive theory,Gestalt theory and Zeigarnik effect theory,and expounds the feasibility of blank in class based on deep learning.Then,by investigating the teaching status of the blank in middle school mathematics class through classroom observation and interview,the paper aims to problems and analyze the causes.Next,based on the connotation of deep learning and classroom blank,the paper puts forward the teaching strategies of this study in resolving problems in the current teaching situation.Finally,summary and reflection will be presented at the end of the paper.According to the research,there are four characteristics of deep learning of mathematics in middle school: Knowledge understanding,activity experience,problem solving and student participation,and the blank in middle school mathematics class can be divided into knowledge type,activity type,transfer type and evaluation type.Deep learning is the value pursuit of blank in class and requires comprehensive blank-leaving in class,while blank in class is an effective way to realize deep learning.Therefore,theyare consistent in conveying value.Based on the connotations of in-depth learning and classroom blank,this paper designs and conducts a survey of classroom observation and teacher interview in a middle school,and finds the following problems in mathematics class: random blank caused by teachers with little consciousness to blank-leaving in class,slowing teaching progress as a result of teacher's poor management of classroom blank,students' difficulty in blank filling due to insufficient guidance of teachers,lack of students' attention in tedious blank,shallow understanding owing to overwhelmingly simple recollection of factual knowledge and superficial mathematical thinking because there are very little blank in conducting exploring experiment.Therefore,the following strategies should be adopted when applying blank in the class based on deep learning:raise high-caliber questions and apply mathematical thoughts all the way;focus on important points in teaching and anticipate the filler situation;prompt verbal guidance timely and implement collaborative learning;preset multiple blank and emphasis on teaching and learning reflection;strengthen the logic of knowledge and construct the understanding of mathematics and excavate mathematical model and leave blanks in activities.
