As a basic national policy, family planning has been implemented in China for more than 30 years, during which good results have been achieved. The total population of China has been controlled and the quality of the population has been improved. However, the family planning policy has also brought a series of problems, such as slowing down the growth of the labor force, increasing aging phenomenon and increasing pressure on the state to provide for the aged.In this context, the 12 th Standing Committee of the National People's Congress voted to adjust and improve the family planning policy, allowing the implementation of the two-child policy, but after the implementation of the two-child policy,China's birth rate is still declining year by year, and the people's fertility desire has not been improved.Based on this,Guiyang was taken as an example in this paper to study and analyze residents' intention to have a second child and its influencing factors by using the method of bibliography and questionnaire survey.First of all,the literature measurement was used in this paper to analysis core journal literature about "the second child birth",found that literature consisted of four research topics— "two child policy","comprehensive two children","separate two children","one child policy".But few of them used the method of questionnaire survey to obtain the actual data to do data analysis.Secondly,in order to fill the research gap,the method of questionnaire survey was adopted in this paper and Guiyang was taken as the research area to analyze the residents' intention to have a second child and its influencing factors.Through the questionnaire survey,we found that:(1)All the three hypotheses proposed in this paper have been verified.Rural residents' willingness to have children and to have boys is higher than that of urban residents.Gender perception of childcare affects residents' willingness to have children in quantity, and gender perception of childcare affects residents' willingness to have children in sex.(2)The internal and external environment of Guiyang residents giving birth to a second child can be divided into subjective views, external environment and policy factors. In subjective view,Guiyang residents prefer girls, thinking that the important reason for raising children is to provide for the old;in external environment,Guiyang residents are more inclined to the child-rearing mode of female parents, believing that physical condition is an important factor affecting fertility.Among policy factors, only a few residents understand and support the two-child policy.(3)Among the residents of Guiyang, people with higher education tend to have fewer children or even no children, especially young unmarried women; The willingness of rural residents to have children and to have boys is higher than that of urban residents.Men tend to have children under the age of 22 or over 30 and prefer girls, while women prefer boys.
