With the new curriculum standard proposed,the cultivation of students' core literacy has become the overall goal of Chinese teaching in senior high school.Among them,high school ancient poetry teaching has played a very important role.Learning ancient poetry can not only help senior high school students improve their comprehensive ability and achieve the comprehensive development of knowledge,emotion and meaning,but also improve the students' basic ability of "language construction and application","thinking development and promotion","aesthetic appreciation and creation" and "cultural inheritance and understanding".Combined with the socialist core values,the new curriculum standard meets the needs of the development of modern education,puts forward new requirements for the teaching of ancient poetry in high school,and gives a new positioning.Based on the research results of ancient poetry teaching in senior high school,the author expounds the current situation of ancient poetry teaching,and describes in detail the research significance of ancient poetry teaching under the background of the new curriculum standard.This paper introduces the requirements and significance of the new curriculum standard for ancient poetry teaching,as well as the situation and characteristics of the compilation of ancient poetry in senior high school Chinese textbooks compiled by the Ministry of education.In the form of questionnaire,this paper studies and analyzes the problems and causes in the current situation of ancient poetry teaching in senior high school from the perspectives of students and teachers,and puts forward corresponding improvement strategies from five different angles.In the research process,the author mainly uses the methods of literature,investigation and case analysis.
