Chinese modern and contemporary novels are an important part of high school Chinese teaching materials.Since the new curriculum reform,how to make novel teaching more effective has aroused extensive discussion in the field of Chinese.In this paper,the main research object is the selected high school Chinese textbooks.Through investigation and research,it points out the problems of teachers and students in the teaching of Chinese modern and contemporary novels in high school and the causes of the problems,and puts forward the solutions.This paper briefly introduces the concept of modern and contemporary novels,as well as the teaching value of modern and contemporary novels.The teaching of modern and contemporary novels is helpful to the cultivation of students' moral education,and it is also of great significance to the cultivation of students' Chinese core literacy.It is an important way for students to understand the modern and contemporary social environment in China.Then this paper discusses the specific content of the survey and analyzes the survey results,points out the problems existing in contemporary novel teaching and the causes of the problems,and puts forward some solutions.Through the investigation and analysis,the author found that there are several main problems in the teaching of modern and Contemporary Novels: first of all,some teachers' interpretation of modern and contemporary novels is lack and rigid,lack mainly refers to the lack of interpretation of text language and structure,and rigidity refers to the ossification of interpretation of novel theme.Secondly,in the teaching of modern and contemporary novels,some teachers ignore the cultivation of students' aesthetic appreciation.There are also some teachers who replace students' experience with their own explanation in modern and contemporary novel class,ignoring students' personal experience in the process of reading.In addition,there are still problems in the teaching of modern and contemporary novels.There are also many problems in the teaching of modern and contemporary novels,such as the lack of extracurricular reading of modern and contemporary novels,the lack of understanding ability and the lack of understanding of the background and related knowledge of novels.Based on the analysis of the problems existing in the teaching of modern and contemporary novels and the reasons,this paper puts forward several suggestions for teachers: learning from the theoretical knowledge of narratology,innovating the interpretation of modern and contemporary novels;improving the aesthetic quality,strengthening the cultivation of students' aesthetic ability;updating the teaching concept,learning the new knowledge of modern novel theory;avoiding the mode of novel teaching and adopting diversified teaching methods.In view of the students' problems in the study of modern and contemporary novels and the causes of the problems,this paper puts forward several strategies: high school students should improve their interest in reading modern and contemporary novels,increase their reading accumulation,learn reading methods,form good reading habits,improve learning strategies,and accumulate the background and related knowledge of modern and contemporary novels.Chinese modern and contemporary novels have irreplaceable important value in Chinese teaching.Improving modern and contemporary novels teaching and solving the problems in teaching are of positive significance for modern and contemporary novels to better play the teaching value.I hope the teaching suggestions put forward in this paper can have a positive impact on solving the problems in modern and Contemporary novels teaching.
