Based on middle school Chinese education,the thesis reviews literature and questionnaires to explore the research on Montage theoretically and practically,and compare the differences in the novel reading teaching in Junior high school between the Montage perspective and the traditional teaching mode by interviewing teachers and students,aiming to develop a new complete set of model of novel reading in junior high school.It's hoped that the research can change knowledge imposition and simplification in novel teaching,stimulate students' passion for learning novels and enhance their ability to analyze novels so as to improve the level and quality of Chinese teaching in junior high school.The contents of research are as follows:The introduction explains the reasons for choosing the topic,analyzes research background and significance,and presents the overseas and domestic research status,which lay a theoretical foundation for the thesis.Chapter One is an overview of Montage and novels.It gives a clear definition and feature of Montage and novel.Montage has its broad and narrow sense,but both of them carry the literal meaning.Novel is characterized by fictionality,plot and compatibility,enabling to absorb the advantages of other art forms.Then it finds out the internal relations between Montage and novels based on their similarities.With video montage as a breakthrough,it seeks the common points with the Chinese teaching from the content,forms and effects of Montage so as to analyze the relations between Montage and the Chinese teaching.From the perspective of narrative angle,narrative time and narrative strategy of the novel,there is a close relations between Montage and the teaching of novel reading.Chapter Two defines the novel Montage from the angle of narratology and gives a detailed explanation to the types of Montage in novel,mainly analyzing the application of cross montage,repeating montage and contrast montage in the national novel textbooks for junior high school.Chapter Three analyzes the current teaching problems of novel teaching in junior high school through lesson study and questionnaires.For example: The teaching method is programmed and monotonous;The teaching objective becomes utilitarian and the students' thinking ability cannot be improved;The Non-Chinese and Non-novel teaching phenomena is serious.By comparing novel reading teaching from montage perspective with traditional novel reading teaching,it is concluded that there are four differences in the form of expression,the learning concept,the way of thinking and the teaching idea in the novel reading teaching for junior high school from the angle of Montage.Chapter Four proposes the design principles of novel reading in junior high school from Montage perspective on the basis of the theories of Cognitive Information Processing,Shannon-Weaver Model and Constructivism Learning.By applying the Montage theory in the teaching practice of novel reading in junior high school and showing the teaching examples selected from the classical,contemporary fictions and foreign novels,the principles provide a new way of novel teaching for the front-line teachers.
