With the accelerating process of urbanization in China,a large number of rural surplus labor forces have to leave their children behind in order to make a living and struggle in the city,which gives rise to a relatively special group--left-behind children.Being separated from parents for a long time will inevitably have an important impact on the physical and mental health of left-behind children.The survey shows that a large number of left-behind children,due to the lack of correct left-behind cognition and the guidance of good values,show quite serious psychological problems in emotional cognition and interpersonal communication.How to effectively improve the mental health level of rural left-behind children is not only related to the overall development of left-behind children themselves,but also has a profound impact on winning the battle of poverty alleviation through education to achieve the grand goal of accurate poverty alleviation of the whole nation.As a collective activity,campus football is not only a new breakthrough of school education reform,but also an important carrier of students' physical and mental development.Through within the scope of the school football teaching activity,this is from the nature of the healthy development of the youth physical and mental pleasure,comply with the youth of the practical need of healthy personality development,influence the development of school education from the concept,but also break the inherent mode of education,school development of culture learning and sports can develop together and promote each other.In this context,it is more important to promote the development of physical and mental health of left-behind children in rural areas with the help of campus football activities.This paper mainly adopts the method of questionnaire survey and teaching experiment,through the distribution of "left-behind children basic information questionnaire" and "mental health diagnostic test" scale(MHT),in the Duji Middle School,Yingquan District,Fuyang City,Anhui Province for a 12-week school football activity experiment,using SPSS23.0 to analyze the collected questionnaires.To explore the influence of football teaching activities on the mental health of left-behind children in rural areas.The results showed as follows: 1)About the detection rate of psychological problems of rural left-behind children,the top three are loneliness tendency(80%),learning anxiety(61%),anxiety about people(54%);2)On the whole,there is a significant difference between the mental health of rural left-behind children and those of non-left-behind children(P <0.01);Only in the two dimensions of terror tendency and impulse tendency,the individual left-behind children of different genders showed significant differences(P <0.05);There were only significant differences in learning anxiety and impulse tendency among rural left-behind children of different ages(P <0.05).There were significant differences in mental health among rural left-behind children in different grades(P <0.05).3)Before the campus football teaching activities,there was no significant difference between the mental health dimensions of the experimental group and the control group.After 12 weeks of campus football activities,there were significant differences between the experimental group and the control group in total scores,loneliness tendency,learning anxiety and other dimensions(P <0.01).4)Through the teaching experiment,there were significant differences between the experimental group in terms of the overall situation and the dimension of loneliness tendency(P <0.01),while the control group only had significant differences in the three dimensions of anxiety,loneliness tendency and impulsive tendency before and after the teaching experiment(P <0.05).The results of the study are as follows: 1)the left behind children in the rural areas have serious psychological problems,especially in four dimensions,such as learning anxiety,anxiety to people,loneliness tendency and impulse tendency.The problems of rural left behind children are more serious than non left behind children;2)The school football activities are not only significantly related to the mental health of the left behind children,but also can effectively promote the psychological development of the left behind children in rural areas by carrying out the activities related to campus football.Suggestions: 1)to form a rational understanding of the left behind children in rural areas;2)To construct the linkage mechanism of the development of the left behind children in the rural areas of the family school community;3)To clarify the form of football teaching activities in campus;4)We will continue to promote the construction and implementation of campus football teaching activities,gradually clarify the impact variables and expand the number of samples to give full play to the role of promoting the mental health of rural left behind children.
