Education is the basis of the development of a country and teachers are the core of education.In the report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,General Secretary Xi Jinping made a major political assertion that "after long-term efforts,socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era".On the basis of great achievements in economic and social development in the new era,On the basis of building a well-off society in an all-round way in 2020,in order to meet the people's growing needs for a better life,realize the basic goal of socialist modernization in 2035 and the great goal of building a strong country by socialist modernization in 2050,the next 30 years will be the historical mission of the new era and the key period for realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.It is urgent for socialist education to make necessary responses,and it is required that education should adhere to educating people first and moral education first,and cultivate people by virtue.It is important to cultivate a socialist builder and successor who is both “red” and professional,who has both ability and political integrity,and who develops morally,intellectually,physically and aesthetically.On March 18,2019,at the national symposium on ideological and political theory courses,Chairman Xi clearly pointed out that ideological and political courses are the key courses to carry out moral education,and the key to running ideological and political courses well lies in teachers,and he put forward six requirements for teachers of ideological and political courses,which are "stronger politics,deeper feelings,new thinking,broader vision,strict self-discipline and positive personality".High school education plays an important role in the whole educational structure.Teachers of political courses in high schools have a great responsibility to implement the education of moral education.High schools should not relax.There is an urgent need for a contingent of ideological and political teachers with firm political beliefs,excellent professional quality,complete knowledge structure and superb professional ability.Based on the above background,the author believes that it is necessary to study the professional development of senior high school ideological and political teachers,so as to improve the overall quality of senior high school ideological and political teachers,improve the quality of senior high school ideological and political teaching,and carry out the era task and historical mission of moral cultivation in senior high school ideological and political courses.The research framework of this paper is divided into four partsThe first part is Introduction which puts forward the research background,resear ch significance of the professional development of high school ideological and politic al teachers,and briefly summarizes the current domestic and foreign research status of the subject,and proposes research ideas,research methods and innovations.The second part defines the concept of teacher professional development by refer ring to some literature research.On this basis,the concept of high school ideological a nd political teacher professional development are defined,combined with the professi onal characteristics of high school ideological and political teachers.Then,based on t he six requirements proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping that politics must be str ong,feelings must be deep,personality must be upright,self-discipline must be strict,vision must be broad,and thinking must be new,as the guidance,the importance and r equirements of teacher professional development are explained.The third part: the author tries to explain the current situation of the professional development of high school ideological and political teachers through the method of li terature research,and combine political beliefs,professionalism,professional knowled ge,professional ability and professional consciousness to design interview outlines,in order to interview the members in Bijie No.1 Middle School and senior high school political Li Li Village Teachers Studio in Guizhou Province.At last,the author will m ake some supplement to the results of the literature research and find out the problems and their reasons in the professional development of the current high school ideologic al teachers.The fourth part: Based on a analysis of various factors,which first starts from the high school ideological and political course teachers themselves,the author proposes some improvement measures—first,high school ideological teachers should temper th e professional quality of their own disciplines;second,high school ideological teacher s should improve the structure of their own professional knowledge;third,high school ideological teachers should strengthen one's own discipline professional ability.Furth ermore,some relevant countermeasures are put forward,which starts from improving the external conditions that promote the professional development of high school teac hers of ideological and political courses which includes the following: first,the school teacher evaluation system should be improved;second,a professional training syste m for teachers in line with the school's reality should be established;third,the school should increase the importance of ideological and political courses and pay more atten tion and support to ideological and political teachers.
