The Academic Test for the junior high school students in Changsha is a significant test for students to graduate from junior high school and enter high school.It has dual functions of detection and selection.There are more than 90 selected modern articles in the textbooks compiled by the Ministry of Education for junior high school.The reading teaching of modern article in Chinese classes takes a long time,and in examination papers,the reading part of modern article has a high score.No matter in terms of teaching materials,learning duration or the proportion of test,all reflect the modern article reading occupy an important position in Chinese discipline.At present,there are few theses about the modern text reading in Changsha high school entrance examination.The research object of this thesis is the modern article reading of Changsha from 2012 to 2021,analyze its examination focus,examination methods,etc.,and explore its proposition rule and development trend.This paper includes four parts.The introduction part mainly discusses the research origin,research importance,research status,research methods and research basis of the paper.The research object of the first chapter is the selected articles,and makes a detailed analysis of the selected articles from the aspects of genre and source,length and deletion,theme and main thoughts.In general,the genre is stable,mostly from newspapers and magazines;The length of selected articles is moderate,and the revision is in line with students' reading level and test learning requirements;The theme and main thoughts focus on students' personality and social development.The research object of the second chapter is the reading test,and makes a specific analysis from the aspects of test measurement goal,score,question amount,question type,reference answer and scoring standard.In general,the content of the examination accords with the teaching situation,and the ability of the examination involves comprehensive;There are changes in stability in the score and amounts of questions,and the question types are mainly subjective questions and supplemented by objective questions.The reference answers presuppose students' various answers,and the scoring standard is mostly "pick points to give points",some open-ended tasks give answer examples.The third chapter,starting from the students' test situation,explores the deficiency of question and answer,analyzes the knowledge and ability deficiency of students in modern article reading,and combines the personal learning and teaching experience to think about the teaching of modern article reading.
