The phenomenon of multi-category words exists objectively.Specific to Chinese learning,these multi-category words trouble learners who acquire Chinese as a second language.With more and more Chinese learners from different language backgrounds,Chinese-foreign comparison has attracted more and more attention from learners and researchers.The Chinese grammar system is established in Chinese-foreign comparison and constantly improved in Chinese-foreign comparison.The comparative study of Chinese and foreign languages is an important cornerstone for predicting and judging learners’ errors and difficulties in international Chinese education.It can provide corresponding background and resources for Chinese teaching,making Chinese learning more efficient and Chinese teaching more targeted.In this paper,114 adjectives and nouns in the ‘International Standards for Chinese Language Education’ are taken as the research object,and the English adjectives and nouns in the ‘Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary’ are taken as the reference to compare the English and Chinese adjectives and nouns.Based on the BCC corpus,the labeling of adjectives and nouns in the ‘standard’ is tested.The labeling,interpretation and reproduction of the adjective and noun words in the textbook are investigated.Based on the interlanguage corpus,this paper makes a statistical analysis of the errors of Chinese learners whose mother tongue is English in the acquisition of adjectives and nouns.On the basis of the first,second,third and fourth chapters,this paper explores the causes of learners’ errors and puts forward corresponding teaching suggestions.The thesis consists of six parts :The introduction part explains the reasons for the topic selection of this article.On the basis of sorting out the research status of adjectives and nouns,the research object,research methods and research significance of this article are determined.The first chapter classifies and counts the adjectives and nouns in ‘Standard’ and‘Oxford Dictionary’,and compares the similarities and differences between the two languages in adjectives and nouns.In the second chapter,based on the BCC corpus,the distribution probability of each part of speech of 114 adjectives and nouns is counted.According to the statistical results,the problems of adjectives and nouns in the ‘standard’ are analyzed.The third chapter investigates the part-of-speech tagging,English paraphrase and repetition of adjectives and nouns in the Standard Course,in order to understand whether the arrangement of multi-category words in the textbook will affect learners’ acquisition of these words.The fourth chapter,based on the interlanguage corpus,examines the use of adjectives and nouns in Chinese and English and Chinese and English.Based on the previous comparative study of Chinese and English adjectives and nouns and the learners ’ acquisition of the two types of multi-category words,the causes of errors are analyzed from the aspects of teaching and the arrangement of syllabus and textbooks.The fifth chapter combines the types and causes of errors,and puts forward teaching suggestions for the international Chinese teaching of adjectives and nouns.The conclusion part summarizes the main research work of this paper,and points out the shortcomings of the research and the direction of future efforts to improve.
